Montana up 33-30 at the half. Yanku has at least 13 for the 'Jacks while Riley Bradshaw (of all people) leads the Griz with 10.

The Griz blow the lead in the final minute, but Gregory makes a layup with .4 seconds left for the 61-59 win…
…then NAU coach Jack Murphy tries to start a fight with UM coach Travis Decuire at midcourt.

I'll wait to comment on this incident until I see the video. Murphy definitely gets fired up.

Yeah it was when they went to talk after the game, Murphy lost his temper. Nothing crazy happened, just some shoving.mtjack wrote:There's gotta be some video of this out there in internet land? The radio livecast said Murphy shoved his hand in DeCuire's face/chest to start the whole thing.Vidav wrote:Yeah it was when they went to talk after the game, Murphy lost his temper. Nothing crazy happened, just some shoving.mtjack wrote:

After the webcast resumed working, I went back to the right spot and the camera didn't catch everything. You can see Murphy yell at an official right after the final miss, but then he goes off screen and it doesn't come back until after the scrum had started. One interesting thing was that, after the mid-court scrum cleared up, Murphy went over to the Griz bench & really started screaming at UM assistant Jono Metzger-Jones (I think that's who it was) for whatever reason.
Ken Bone did the initial postgame radio interview & confidently said that the league will look at the video (whatever video that might be, I guess) and will see who was in the wrong. During the later interview with DeCuire, apparently Murphy came over & shook his hand. Mick Holien's post-interview account didn't exactly make that sound amicable, however.
As for the technical foul controversy at the end: apparently the refs ruled that Jermaine Edmonds wasn't on the court while the ball was live, so that's why they didn't call the tech.

Wow...should have been a T. Not sure how the refs missed that...but probably wouldn't have changed the outcome. NAU would have got a FT and the ball at half court with 0.4 left. If anything it would have set up a better final heave.Mvemjsunpx wrote: Here's a video that shows everything (except the later berating of Metzger-Jones). Below is a statement regarding why no technical was assessed late in the Friday semifinal between Montana and Northern Arizona.
"After a score by Montana to take the lead in the second half, we noticed a bench personnel from Montana come onto the floor to celebrate with .4 left on the game clock. We stopped play and proceeded to the court side monitor to confirm time left on the game clock. Given that the premature celebration did not prevent the ball from being put in play, nor did it interfere in any other way, we resumed play pursuant to rule 10-2.8.d and Case Book A.R. 270."

So now anyone can run onto the court so long as it doesn't interfere with a play?
And at the 0:18 mark the inbounding player is clearly looking towards NAU #1 who is behind superman...er I mean that montana guy diving off the court.

According to SD logic Riley Bradshaw is, without question, better than everyone on NAU except Yanku and Upshur.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:SDHornet wrote:91-83 final. There were so many shitty fouls called against both teams. I'm sure that one play was all that mattered in the game, though.
