SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I think once they got snubbed from the NIT they decided to hang it up for the season. And they did get snubbed significantly for the NIT.

Did you and your son go to the Harvard-Yale playoff? Looks like it was a thriller with a pretty big crowd. I had a long-standing prior commitment, so I couldn't go.

I did, me and the whole family actually (wife is a pretty big college b-ball fan, and my middle son loves March Madness - my older son is cynical and tolerated it and my younger son liked getting pretzels and popcorn). Pretty decent crowd, sidelines were packed as were the lower levels all around. Probably 6k there when all was said and done. We were in the Yale section (I was going to bring a "Rory Gilmore Picked Yale, and So Do We" since the wife liked that show but decided not to) and we were around a bunch of students so it was fun. It was a big of a sluggish game - for most of the second half it was just tough for anyone to score. But the last 6 minutes made up for it. Harvard was better, and Yale had no answer for the point guard (#1) or the guy who scored a bunch (#23), and Yale didn't seem to have anyone with an ability to score. Good fun, though, and then we went to Vetri's Pizza restaurant at something and Callowhill for dinner. Good times.
