NAU plays at Grand Canyon on Wednesday in the CIT as well. GCU is tough and routinely packs their arena, but a nice regional matchup for the Jacks. Four post season bids for the BSC.SuperHornet wrote:The NIT bracket comes out late tonight, and the WNIT bracket is due late tomorrow night after the NCAA women's bracket is announced.SDHornet wrote:So EWU draws a 13 seed and is matched up with 4 seed Georgetown in the Portland location. Has the UM NIT matchup been announced? Sac plays at Portland in the CIT on Wednesday.

Oh well, saves us from embarrassing ourselves in the tourney again. Let EWU take a turn in that role.

EWU is doing their best to fill that role.

He's just doing his best to fill the school's arrogance quota now that VA is gone.Mvemjsunpx wrote:No kidding. The Big Sky needs to print up a "STFU Jim" poster after that retarded guarantee.clenz wrote:EWU is doing their best to fill that role.

Retarded? We weren't supposed to win... which is why none of the major news outlets have already forgotten about it. Had we won, EWU would be one of the major headlines for the round of 32.Mvemjsunpx wrote:No kidding. But more importantly, teams take on the attitude and demeanor of the head coaches. I love Hayford's brashness and confidence. He's taken this program from almost nothing to earning a 13 seed in the The Big Dance, which considering the strength (or lack thereof) of the BSC nationally, is a pretty impressive feat in four years. He's taken the same approach that he had at Whitworth which turned them into perennial powerhouse at the D-III level, and applied it at EWU. I hope he keeps on talking.

It was unbelievably stupid, especially from a coach who's never had anything to do with a DI NCAA Tournament before and wouldn't really know from first-hand experience how to prepare a team for it. Georgetown has had a history of arrogantly overlooking and choking against smaller schools in the tourney, and Hayford did the exact thing that would ensure the Hoyas wouldn't overlook EWU. And then there's the fact that the entire Big Sky makes money if a BSC team wins a game. In other words, Hayford's lack of self-control probably cost the entire conference $.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Retarded? You're right, a team that had lost 5 straight to double digit seeds was going to overlook a team who had the nation's leading scorer and put up 3s very much like those double digit seeds that had beat themMvemjsunpx wrote:It was unbelievably stupid, especially from a coach who's never had anything to do with a DI NCAA Tournament before and wouldn't really know from first-hand experience how to prepare a team for it. If I'd wanted to be hyperbolic, I would've referred to Hayford as the unholy love child of Uncle Fester & Justin Bieber.kalm wrote:This post is unbelievably hyperbolic!
