NDSU loses two more players

North Dakota State University head football coach Craig Bohl announced today that wide receiver Jordan Schultenover has been dismissed from the team for violation of team rules and that running back Pete Blincoe has left the team.

Schultenover, a 6-foot-3, 209-pound senior from Minnetonka, Minn. (Hopkins H.S.), started in two of nine games played last season. He caught 12 passes for 205 yards and three TDs. Schultenover had six touchdowns in 19 career receptions.

Blincoe, a 5-foot-7, 182-pound junior from Imperial, Calif. (Imperial H.S.), missed the 2008 season with a knee injury. He rushed for 696 yards and eight TDs on 139 carries in 19 career games. Blincoe had two 100-yard rushing games for NDSU.

Yeah, he left because his knee wasn't right and was burried on the depth chart. The other guy, lets just say had some major issues, he was gone as soon as Bohl heard the news.

This guy would have been have a starter, so far we have lost one starter and another is suspended indefinitely.

NDSU football: Schultenover's MySpace has references to drugs, alcohol

A Web site page attributed to former North Dakota State wide receiver Jordan Schultenover pictures a scene of partying behavior saturated with drug-related material.

The MySpace.com entry includes an animated video on how to roll a marijuana cigarette. Schultenover, a senior who was expected to be the team’s top receiver this fall, was dismissed from the Bison football team this week for violating team rules.

In one section on his MySpace page, which was last updated in 2007, Schultenover lists his general interests as “girls, parties, blowin’ drow, drinking, playing football, sports, girls, music.” “Blowin’ drow” is a slang term for smoking hydroponic marijuana, a weed grown indoors using a system of tubes, filters and fertilizers, according to Urban Dictionary online site.

Schultenover’s MySpace page was not private, meaning anybody on a computer could view it.

A photo on the page shows a male with a marijuana-looking cigarette in his mouth. In another section under “Jordan’s Details,” he listed “yes/yes” after the following: “Smoke/Drink:”

The page answers the following – “People I would like to meet” – with “Krunk people to have a hellova a time with, and nice girls who like to be bad.” One of the definitions of ‘Krunk” in the Urban Dictionary is “Severe intoxication or getting drunk; a very fun or enjoyable time; also used to describe something cool, hip, or fashionable.”

Photos also show Schultenover either holding or drinking alcohol.

Head coach Craig Bohl said he could not make further comment on Schultenover. Bison players were warned last year after a Forum story detailing under-aged athletes with alcohol appearing on social networking sites.

The smart ones don't advertise it on their social networking page... it's now used as probable cause and the police can raid you. Happened to a kid at UGA who advertised he loved Blazin' and growing his own hydro on his facebook account.

No problem if a player wants to do any of this, most college kids do now a days anyway. If you get busted, I have no sympathy though... you are obviously a victim of natural selection.

Being a stupid idiot is certainly grounds for dismissal. Regardless of how a player conducts himself in private, it is the stupid idiots that think they are anointed immunity from doing so publicly. Natural selection is very accurate in these cases, great post.
