P.K.'s reputation does not help either. And the puck was no where near those 2 so he is a complete dumbass for even taking that penalty. He is too good of a player to do that crap.
Just read that Stone status is unknown for the remainder of the series due to the slash. If he is indeed out for some games, this series will get really ugly especially with such a key player for the Sens like Stone.

I think Ovie will go down as the greatest, or maybe one of, goal scorers to never win a cup.89Hen wrote:Friggen Caps.

Most likely. They aren't Cup contenders, but they should be able to beat the damn Islanders. Was electric at the game for the first 10 minutes, but the Caps lulled everyone to sleep, including their goaltender on that first goal.Grizalltheway wrote:I think Ovie will go down as the greatest, or maybe one of, goal scorers to never win a cup.89Hen wrote:Friggen Caps.

Caps tie up the series at 1 with 3 unanswered to win 4-3 in game 2
Montreal wins in OT over Ottawa on what appears to be a bad goal on Hammond's part to take a 2-0 series lead.

So is Pro Football, NFL draft today. I just got to the point where I didn't need a sport that was 24x7x365. Just sticking with NCAA as my football for now.AZGrizFan wrote:Hockey is still going on?89Hen wrote:![]()

Is this karma for the Caps, beating the Rangers in Game 1 on a Ward goal with 1.3 seconds left?tribe_pride wrote:They weren't playing the Rangers in that Game 7. Lazy play by the Rangers on that goal. Guy tried to play with it to bring it to OT with time remaining and it cost them. You need to clear that puck. No excuse there to lose it at that point.
Rangers lost 1 of 2 at home to Pitt so losing 1 at MSG isn't the end of the world especially since the Rangers were better away than at home (28-11-2 vs 25-11-5 at home and are 12-1-1 away since March 1).
Winning 4 games won't be easy for either team. Holtby was outstanding in net not giving up rebounds and had no chance on the goal. Lundqvist made a number of great saves with no chance on either goal but gave away too many rebounds though none of those turned into goals. Should be an exciting series. Besides Holtby, the Rangers need to control Ovechkin. They have done a great job doing that over the years but did not this game.

I hate to do this to my #2 team...but since they gave up a short touchdown's worth of goals to my #1 Mighty Ducks...

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

37 points in 39 games isn't too shabby.tribe_pride wrote:the Rangers need to control Ovechkin. They have done a great job doing that over the years but did not this game.

Haha. I wasn't even close to clear in what I wrote. Was specifically talking about in the recent playoffs when Rangers have been able to beat them the past few years.89Hen wrote:37 points in 39 games isn't too shabby.tribe_pride wrote:the Rangers need to control Ovechkin. 2013 - 7 games - 1 goal, 1 assist
2012 - 7 games - 3 goals, 1 assist
If you can't control him in the big games, you are going to lose. Definitely has stepped it up this year and is a finalist for the Hart

Re: 2014-15 NHL Season
Rangers haven't been able to score all playoffs. Need to be able to do that or else going out this round. Holtby is playing too good and as well as Lundqvist is playing, they aren't going to win if they don't score goals.Ivytalk wrote:Caps 1, Rangers 0!
Only real thing that I will argue about about things on the ice (and this is very minor) is Holtby's mask has come off something like 4 times in 3 games and all but 1 of those times, nobody or no puck touched him when it happened though he was touched 1 time I remember. Never seen it happen to a goalie close to this much and the refs are required to blow the whistle which sucks when he just knocks it off his own head. Once again, not really a huge deal and hasn't effected the scoring in any of the games but I have just never seen this happen to anyone more than Holtby this series.
Been 3 exciting, close games so far that have been relatively even played with great goaltending on both sides. 4 more games like that?

Blackhawks peaking at the right time. The Western Conference final with Anaheim should be a good one. (And, no, Calgary won't win that series.)

I commented to some co-workers before the playoffs the Caps wouldn't go far because of their goaltending. I will print this page out & now eat my words....
