The Reid Family... A Gift That Keeps on Giving

Post by JMU DJ »

Andy Reids oldest son is going back to prison for an altercation at a halfway home.
PHILADELPHIA -- The oldest son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid has returned to prison.

Garrett Reid's lawyer, Timothy Woodward, said Wednesday the 26-year-old Villanova man was in an altercation at a Philadelphia halfway house. Woodward says he's very concerned about his client.

Reid was sentenced to two years in a state drug rehabilitation program in July after being caught with 89 prescription pills inside his rectum   at the Montgomery County Prison. He was in the county prison on charges related to a January 2007 car crash that seriously injured a woman.

This is a sad story, and I feel for the Reid family. Garrett knew he would be tested, and he knew that he would return to prison if he tested positive, and he still took drugs.

My brother is a drug addict, and he has been to prison. He has also used since he got out - I expect that he will end up dead or back in prison at anytime. It's a nasty addiction and I don't wish it on any family.
