Sirens move to 3-0

The Sacramento Sirens wiped out the Phoenix Phantomz 41-0 at Sacramento City College last night. RB Samia J'Beily led the way with every touchdown save for two. Quarterback Alexis Vierra scampered 30 yards for one score, and RB Chantal Harris returned the second half kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown. The score COULD have been worse, as a last-minute pick six was called back for a block in the back that NOBODY saw, was NOT flagged, and was NOT announced by the referee; they simply marched off the penalty.

The Phantomz fall to 1-1 on the season. They take the next two weeks off before heading up to Dayton, NV, to take on the recovered Nevada Storm (1-1) following their 33-6 win over the Quake.

The Sirens go on the road next week to take on the North County Stars (0-2) of Carlsbad. The Stars lost to the California Quake 34-14 in Week 1, and to Phoenix 14-0 in Week 2.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Who the fuck are the "sirens"?

Since no one else knows who the Sirens are (or cares) the thread title should have been "A women's semi pro football team called the Sirens is 2-0". Then I would have known not to click on it...
