I really like Ron Paul and what he stands for. I will be donating to McCain/Palin in the next couple of weeks and after tonight I am really on the wagon. I love this gal. She doesn't have the religious hard on angle but most people that are religious are not as hardline as the ones that we see supporting the right. Most that support the right are quite a bit more toned down than the wackjobs that are portrayed to us most of the time.

I don't care how inept they were. Two ragheads with semi-automatic rifles could have done a lot of damage but this guy nipped them in the bud. No innocent lives lost to thugs.

Oh I agree. That's what I mean about inspiring confidence. Police in the United States are not like police in France or anywhere else in Europe. I've criticized them many times for getting too rough and such. But if you need to be protected I feel pretty strongly that you'd MUCH rather be protected by US police than European police. I think US police are well trained including being well trained in using their weapons. I mean, I'm sure there are exceptions. But in general I think they are.

I think if it comes down to it if you're talking about somebody trained by a terrorist group like ISIS or Al-Qaeda vs. someone that receives training to be a police officer in the United States it's a mismatch. The person trained to be a police officer in the United States is going to be much better trained. No contest.

Yet, with direct intelligence of possible Jihadist threats on American soil, did the FBI send assets to intercede or at the least investigate or monitor?

No.

They were too busy chasing leads on potential right wing Tea Party radicals, or hanging around gun shows, or cybersurveilling radical pro-life Christian groups, and white, middle-class Second Amendment/NRA organizations...

...because pursuing Islamic radicalised Americans who've indicated a desire to enjoin jihad against the west, in particular the United States...

...would be "profiling".
