Nothing yet, but the Patriots only have Brady and two no-name 23-year-olds who have never started an NFL game. Most teams carry more than three QBs between seasons, so it's a pretty safe bet that NE will sign another QB. But whom?
Speculation is centering around Matt Flynn and Mike Vick.
My choice? Doug Flutie....

Pats Rx to Potential Brady Suspension?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

A friend of mine just brought up the possibility that the Pats might trade for Tebow since he already knows the system. Not sure what they'd be willing to give up or what the Eagles would be willing to accept. Perhaps a cash deal like one sometimes sees in baseball?

Re: Pats Rx to Potential Brady Suspension?
Saw some analysis today stating that the Pats might just stand pat with Jimmy Garoppalo. They like how he looked last year and now have an entire spring ball-summer-fall camp time frame in which to prepare him. There are also likely to be comparisons to EIU teammate Romo (bad move, IMO) and the fact that the last time Brady was out, the Pats had a successful season with Matt Cassel, who hadn't started a game since high school. The thing is this: the Pats are treating this as an "injury" situation with a known end date, whereas in the typical injury situation, you have no clue when someone will return until he actually does.
I think I can buy this reasoning, but still like the idea of bringing in Flutie or Tebow as insurance. You can treat Brady as on the 60-day DL (to borrow a baseball analogy, though it's nowhere near applicable to the NFL), bring in what is essentially a fourth QB (whether he becomes the immediate starter or stands in the 2-hole) so that the other 23-year-old can sit back and learn. When Brady returns, you can still cut the veteran or one of the youngsters (probably not Garoppolo in any case).
