I was at the game last night and saw first hand why A-Rod is so disliked.

He hit a ground ball to short. The shortstop booted the ball and scrambled to pick it up in hopes of still making the play. He took a glance at A-Rod trotting slowly down the first base line and saw he was able to take his time, take an extra crow hop and make a nice, easy throw over to first.

Your boy is too much of a prima donna to run out a ground ball.
