The collective bargaining agreement expires in 2010. If the league and the players don't reach an agreement their will be no salary cap in 2010. Frightening sight to see. I hate to see the Patriots, Giants, and Jets dominate if this happens. Just like MLB it will suck worse than country music if this happens. Stop the madness!!!!

It is the biggest game in town, they will make sure that the money train does not miss a game.dbackjon wrote:They will get a new salary cap deal done.

They've got to implement some sort of rookie salary scale though. Giving an unproven NFL guy that much guaranteed money is messed up and getting out of control.

Agreed - salary slotting like the NBA does it would be ideal.Beef wrote:They've got to implement some sort of rookie salary scale though. Giving an unproven NFL guy that much guaranteed money is messed up and getting out of control.

Who said that the NE teams will dominate under no-cap conditions? "Buying" a title doesn't work. Just ask George Steinbrenner....
