So which part of CA's economy is going underground? Or are you just thinking of your farmer friends who continually employ illegal labor and pay them under the table? (Not that that would be a new thing. :coffee: )

And that was in SC, one of the lower cost states where the AAA avg today is $2.44. Within 20 cents +/- of your state avg makes sense. And its still bs that anyone today is going to fill a full tank of gas on a truck in IL (today avg $2.95) for $40..
Save your breath I've spent a large fraction of two threads explaining the concept of "average price" to him, its just too far for him at his current level of development.

Third term. Why not? It took FDR four terms to clean up after the conks back in the day.
Bullshit on any truck with a full tank of gas for $40. Today's even small size trucks have fuel tank capacities in the high teens-low 20s gallons, and the 1/2 tons more than that. AAA showed today's national avg at $2.74 and Illinois at $2.95.

And the avg was $1.89 when Obama entered office..
2009 Toyota Tacoma. 18 gallon tank. Fill up when the reserve light comes on. 17 gallons. $2.35/gallons. $39.95. Suck it, bitch. :coffee:

How many times do I have to explain the concept of an average to you? We've been over this, twice, extensively. When D1B gets back I'm going to recommend that you receive intensive remedial training.

Oh fer cryin' out loud...here we go again.

This time pay attention when I talk to you, son, because I won't always be here to help you through life.

The fuel tank capacity is 21 gallons. When the reserve light comes on it takes 17 gallons to fill. The reason I fill up when the reserve light comes on is because like most modern trucks the fuel pump on mine is located in the fuel tank where the gasoline doubles as a cooling medium. Operating a vehicle like this by running on empty for excessive periods has been shown to be a cause of premature fuel pump failure. Now wipe that stuff off of your chinski.

I'm curious as to what, if anything, you do for a living, BDKLULESS. Having to school you about how to calculate wages for an hourly employee, the concept of an average, and now this.... seems you don't get out much or have others to do for you. :?

I can actually vouch for HD here. The 4Runner is essentially a Tacoma with an enclosed bed and a slightly bigger tank. My 4Runner has a 23 gallon tank but you can ignore the fuel light and run it until the trip computer says there are 0 miles left and you'll still only get 19 gallons in. So, Toyota leaves a few gallons reserve in their tanks. Their trip computer's mpg readout is also 2-3 mpg optimistic. Worst hypermiler I've ever owned. :D

Oh man. I thought you were smarter or could at least read my post. You're never going to get anywhere close to 21 gallons in a Tacoma unless you ignore the fuel light and miles to empty indicator for about a hundred miles and run the tank dry, jeopardizing your fuel filter, pump, and injectors. Unless you're a woman, I'd think you'd avoid that. :twocents:

18 gallons is probably the typical full tank refuel amount. I can verify by looking at reported Tacoma owner data on Fuelly if you'd like. Let me know. This is not classified information.

OK, here's a representative 2009 Tacoma. He's filling up at 17 to 18 gallons per tank:

This one got 17.7 gals in recently but usually lowr:

17 for me, it may have to do with the shape of the fuel tank and how much is needed to keep the fuel pump covered.
