More Americans “Pro-Life” Than “Pro-Choice” for First Time
Gallup Poll: http://www.gallup.com/poll/118399/More- ... -Time.aspx
Gallup.com, the same polling institute that has Obama's Approval Rating at 63%, says more Americans are now pro-life than pro-choice for the first time.... Ever. 51%-42% claim they are pro-life vs. pro-choice.
Pew Poll: http://pewresearch.org/pubs/1212/aborti ... gender-gap
The Pew Research Center found 44% of Americans believe abortion should be illegal to 46% of Americans who believe abortion should be illegal. The closest gap... Ever.
Here is some food for thought from the well known liberal and Countdown contributor Nate Silvers: FiveThirtyEight.com: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/05/ ... ss-of.html

I'm not going to get excited by this news since the American electorate has proven it has the attention span of a gnat...but at least it's some movement in the proper direction...

Which should be living proof that this particular topic isn't the "bellweather" topic that some on the fringe make it out to be.

Re: More Americans “Pro-Life” Than “Pro-Choice” for First Time
deceptive poll...
i consider myself "pro-life" but oppose making it illegal... also, keep watch on this poll to see if it's a sustained trend or a blip...
moreover, if you dig deeper, 83% support keeping it legal in at least some circumstances...
it's not nearly as tidy as you'd like to think.

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

Guys, Being an atheist does not make you a hateful person. I'm an atheist and am pretty darn tolerant.
Being raised a Catholic and shedding that belief is what makes you bitter. Just my 2 cents.

This poll from 2008 would suggest otherwise, oh wise one...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 00818.htmlThe study detailed Americans' deep and broad religiosity, finding that 92 percent believe in God or a universal spirit -- including one in five of those who call themselves atheists. More than half of Americans polled pray at least once a day.
