Dare I say I'm seeing some bigotry here?
Interesting how anti-Christian bigotry seems to be acceptable in our culture while anti some other things bigotry seems to be stringently condemned. Some bigotry is OK and some bigotry isn't, I guess. Just depends on who the bigotry is directed against.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

You absolutely can say that. If someone says and believes something I don't then I am rightfully suspicious that their motives and visions will not line up with mine...which is not what I want in my leader.JohnStOnge wrote:Dare I say I'm seeing some bigotry here?

You're not as dumb as you're pretending to be john - but I like where this is going
So Fundamentalists should NEVER hold public office (ever)
Anybody who believes in "The Rapture" must not have authority over others
If you think Jesus is coming and the world will soon end - you - by definition are dangerous
and I'm not just talking about being completely devoid of critical thinking skills
I'm talking about thinking you personally are so special that the end of the world is "for you"
and expediting "The End" isn't necessarily a bad thing
Johnny boy - these people MUST NOT be allowed to lead
They are clinically insane - Charley Manson and Ted Bundy should (also) not be Governor
for almost the exact same reasoning that Fundamentalists should not be leaders
There's only 6 degrees of separation between their mutual insanity's
Q: Name something that offends Republicans?
A: The actual teachings of Jesus

You guys don't even know if he literally believes Noah lived to be 600 years old. He was talking at a Bible college about the concept of retirement not being Biblical. I would not be surprised if you asked this guy if he thinks somebody literally lived to be 600 years old in today's terms he would say, "no."
And even if he'd say "yes" that has absolutely no impact on anything that matters today.

...to you. It matters much to me however. When talking to people I don't think one should try and mash some silly shit together...holy fuck talking retirement and referencing Noah...that alone set him squarely in fuckingnoway town. That kind of shit is exactly what I don't want.JohnStOnge wrote:You guys don't even know if he literally believes Noah lived to be 600 years old.
