Shitty course conditions aside, the drama on Sunday was second to none, but it's a shame that the course conditions are a bigger headline than the competition.

The USGA should cancel all scheduled championships held on the lesser coast until they can learn to build and maintain half way decent championship caliber courses (Pebble not included).

Btw, Pebble's greens were not very good in 2000, the year TW fired -15. He turned around and trashed them in 2010 (he putted poorly).

I have a couple of friends that caddy for the Pebble Beach properties. In their opinion, it's the weakest of the three.

If that's the case, you people need to learn how to grow grass.

That's not a green in the foreground, that's fairway. Last time I played there the fairways stimped at 8.

Same hole from the tee.

The Club at Black Rock.

And no, it isn't shopped by I will admit the design is a little contrived.

Davis is a royal prick. He marches around the golf course like it's about him. I've seen it first hand Baldy. He fucked us at Congressional when he told the crew to mow the rough the week prior to the Open. The rough never recovered and the course played way too easy. He also had them mow the grass around the bunkers low so balls would roll into the bunker. There's not a pro on Tour that wouldn't rather hit out of a bunker than thick rough. :dunce: :tothehand:

BTW, I don't get what all the stink was about making 18 a par 4 or par 5. It doesn't matter if it was a par 13... it has no bearing on the results. The winner is how many strokes it takes to complete 72 holes. :dunce:

Different position of the tee box for the 18th when it is a par 4 as opposed to a Par 5.

Yeah, but it's not like one player gets an advantage over another....they both play from the same tee box.

My local course just cleaned up and renovated. But damn it to heck, getting around the rocks is a hassle.

I think Bandon Dunes would have been a better choice.

The issue is the nearest major city is 4 hours away, so I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Nope....not just "anytime soon", but NEVER.

But there were still better choices on the West Coast than Chambers Bay.
