That half-pitch shot was incredible....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Officially 25.4 million viewer average for the Final. This is more than the NBA Finals and MLB game winners. Only Superbowl, CFB Playoff and NCAAB National Title game got more viewers. Game was a blowout too, very impressive. Fox gotta be loving this.

Take a breath Jon. What is the common denominator between the SB, CFB Playoff, NCAAB Title game and the WC Final, as compared to NBA Finals and MLB game winners?dbackjon wrote:Grizalltheway wrote: Yes it was. I won't talk shit about women's sports for at least a couple of days in honor of it.

Cutting and pasting doesn't require a lot of effort, unless you have gotten really out of shape shelter-in-place in St. Louis.CAA Flagship wrote:Take a breath Jon. Don't you have to be in shape to get out of it?

I'll answer it for you.
Before those games, everyone knew it would be the final game, and that a champion would be crowned. Game 5 or 6 in a 7-game series is not always the "final game", thus less of an attraction. Also, the Sunday night prime time didn't hurt either.
On another note, St. Louis and Kansas City led the country in viewership. Probably because THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO HERE IN THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!

That's actually true. The Fox announcers were either incapable of pronouncing French names or couldn't be bothered. The best they could come up with was Spanglish.Seahawks08 wrote:Terrible announcers?CAA Flagship wrote: Take a breath Jon. Come up to Canada and I'll take you to Snowbowl for skiing, delicious wood-fired pizza, and bloody mary's.
Also sodomy.
