Senior Softball World Series in DelaWHERE

The lowly Zootown (Missoula,MT) girls team is raking it to the semi's.

After beating Michigan 11-1 and Prague 7-2 yesterday, they cleaned up with Virginia today with a 5-2 win with 3 homers.

Semi's will be on ESPN3 and watchESPN on Friday at 3/6 MST.

Lower Sussex, no? My worst memory of the Lower Sussex complex is witnessing Delino Deshields (of Seaford) single-handedly destroy the Milford All Stars one night. Dude threw a complete game, probably averaging over 2 Ks per inning, and probably had 5 RBI himself. It was a disaster from our perspective but an incredible performance to watch. I still would have liked to have seen what he would have done at Villanova and in the NBA. He was scarier at hoops.

Is the Delaware team in the tournament only because they are hosting or because they actually won to get there? Lower Sussex hosts a lot because they've won several World Series, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're worth a damn in the current season
