FCS vs FBS games 2015 thread
Alright guys, time for some predictions.
I'll be highlighting the few that I think may either end up as upsets, or ones that may be pretty close.
EWU vs Oregon- I think that EWU will keep this close but I don't think they'll pull an App State with this one.
North Dakota vs Wyoming- I actually see ND pulling the upset on this one, Wyoming are a mediocre team and ND has a decent shot with this one.
Illinois State vs Iowa- I think Illinois state can keep this close, no upset but very close.

I doubt that North Dakota beats Wyoming. Their running game alone is a beast. I also think Oregon is going to mop the floor with Eastern Washington. Vernon Adams should know that defense well since he practiced against them for years. Anything is possible on the gridiron so we'll see.

Fordham at Army tonight. Reasonable shot at a FCS win over a FBS. On TV too.

I predicted UC Davis would lose to FBS Nevada-Reno but the game ended up pretty evenly matched. Nevada-Reno 31 and UC Davis 17 but all of the stats were pretty even. The difference was a number of dropped passes by Aggie receivers that were right on the mark. I think the Aggies will be more competitive this year in FCS.

Only thing is it's not fair that Army has a former Georgia Southern head coach.

Re: FCS vs FBS games 2015 thread
Ok Fordham got it done. Beat Army 37-35. Also Charlotte beat Georgia State 23-20. Charlotte was up 23-6 at the end of the third quarter. Georgia State made things look closer by scoring with 30 seconds left to bring it to 23-20.
At this point I don't know if Georgia State should count as a FBS. But, hey, that's how its classified.

Re: FCS vs FBS games 2015 thread
While there's a slim hope that we can play up to their level I'd be very surprised if we keep this close unless VA comes out rusty after a shortened camp and only 3 weeks in the system, misses on throws and/or is not on the same page with his receivers. Drops...yes we could use some drops too. And penalties...tons of Oregon penalties. And we'd need to be at least +4 in turnover margin. Winning the toss is crucial too. Will probably also need a couple of missed PAT's and 0-for on field goals from the Duck's kicker.
I'd just be happy if we keep them under 60 and score over 20 ourselves.
It was nice to see Davis, SUU, and Weber all play well. The Big Sky might be up a little and one of them could pick off conference front-runner at some point.

Bold prediction. But I'm gonna say my Charleston Southern Buccaneers are gonna lose November 21st @ Alabama.

SDSU beats Kansas 41-38 after Jayhawks fumbled spike attempt w/ :07 left on clock. Time ran out as the officials ruled him down.

SDSU can build a big halftime lead and they seem to fall apart. Is it coaching or coaching or possibly players...I still think it is coaching? They almost gave this one away.keydet21 wrote:SDSU beats Kansas 41-38 after Jayhawks fumbled spike attempt w/ :07 left on clock. Time ran out as the officials ruled him down.

Maybe, maybe not. EWU has a new DC, and a new scheme. We're back to the 4-2-5.San Diego Football wrote:I doubt that North Dakota beats Wyoming. Their running game alone is a beast. North Dakota fails to increase its lead over Wyoming, misses 24 yard field goal, still up 14-0 late in the 2nd
