Yeah, I was wrong about the score. I admitted that on AGS (and my twitter) about 10 minutes after kick off once I saw how bad NDSU's OL was at picking up blitzing defenders.
Yes, I think a competent QB wins that game by 10-14 for CSU. He was 8-20 passing and ran 11 times for 13 yards and CSU still forced OT. I said that at 7:25 central Saturday night. That was 40 minutes after kick off...we might have been in the second quarter...?

9 minutes before that I said "This isn't a good Bison team"

Yet, when the dust settles the dumb mistakes NDSU made that they usually don't (blitz pro, bad punts, penalties) really made the game closer than it was. NDSU outgained CSU by 200 yards. Over half of CSU's yards came on 10 runs from Holloway (146 yards on 10 carries) and of that 146 75% of them (109 yards) came on three runs where NDSU fucked their contain up.
I was impressed with CSU's defense. Really didn't think they'd force NDSU to abandon the power game. I was not impressed with CSU's offense.
Oh, and CSU is already on the playoff bubble. 10 games left and only 8 D1 games. One of those D1 games is Florida State. The other is at CCU, where CSU hasn't won since 08.
Let's say CSU splits those the most D1 wins CSU can get to is 7 wins. That's going 7-0 aginst FCS/transitional teams this year. Realistically it's probably 6-1 and they better hope that 1 isn't a conference loss. They aren't getting an at-large if they lose to NDSU, Florida State and either CCU or Bucknell coupled with a conference loss.
That'd be 6 D1 wins with no "name" wins.
