A "jack" Mormon is merely a backslider. You don't have to be a "jack" Mormon to be libertarian, and being "jack" does not necessarily imply libertarianism.

I do not know Glenn Beck, but he appears to be a practicing "Latter Day Saint" (Mormon), and his expressed point of view is solidly libertarian.

List is way too long. It stops being realistic maybe after Barbour at #7. Gingrich is not electable nationwide, Jeb Bush is actually a decent candidate but his brother's performance has pretty much erased any chance of that happening, Dan Quayle (??? seriously? I'm shocked he's even still around), and Santorum probably still would get trounced in an election in PA if he ever ran again, let alone a nationwide one.

Of course, barring a sustained economic malaise, all of this could be moot as Obama is clearly the favorite for 2012, even with his currrent problems.

Jeb is a superior politician and public servant compared to his brother. Examples: his flawless Spanish and his competent handling of hurricanes in Florida. Despite his mistakes and the left-wing stereotypes, GW is a pretty smart guy, but brother Jeb probably has 20 IQ points on George. If - God forbid - there is another successful terror incident on American soil, Jeb might become an instantly viable candidate.

Demint certainly walks the conservative walk, but I don't think he could win a national election. He has some supported some things that aren't bad (depending on your opinion obviously) but could be used against him such as the Fair Tax (cue blueballs). At least I think he has supported the fair tax.

I would be fine with DeMint's economic views but there is no way he wins in a national election. He would dominate the south and and the plains, but ultimately he has the EXACT OPPOSITE views of people in the Northeast and West coast

Here's the thing about W & I am by no means a fan.....but he was still able to get legislation passed not only without a 60-vote super majority, but with a democratic congress (Surge) his last two years....yet the dems can't even get a bill out of the senate or house for a vote.....the Republicans owe their continued political existence to the boundless ineptitude currently running the DNC....
