why don't you have insurance?

1. I'm a full time student, but too old for my parents' insurance.
2. I don't work full time to potentially get insurance that way.
3. Cheapest I've seen for OOP insurance is about $90 a month. I can't afford it. I realize I can't afford having something happen to me either, but that's about a sixth of what I bring home in a month, if I'm working decent hours. The only week I've worked decent hours lately has been this week, because of spring break. Normally, that then amounts to a fifth of my monthly income.
4. Second job, you say? If it was feasible, sure. But with the workload I have for grad school, it would be insanity to do that to myself. I'm also hoping to go do more reporting this summer, so I need to keep my schedule more flexible.

And to take it to the next level, Norway spends substantially less on it's defense budget because they know we're there...

If we withdrew our NATIO committment, Norway would either become defensless...or have to greatly increase its defense budget...now, where would that happiness go when their tax rate either jumped or they lost some of those freebies that make them so happy (at our expense)...

Emotionally, wouldn't it be great to have the federal government provide good medical care to everyone???

Well, medical care is not one of the duties enumerated in the Constitution as a federal responsibility...

We're not talking here about the medical insurance the feds provide an employee...but medical care ala Canada or Great Britian...social medicine...

Someone will point out we're the only developed country that doesn't provide medical care...true...so, change the Constitution...don't just ignore it, or worse, violate it...

But that's too hard, someone will say...TOUGH SHlT...its suppose to be hard to change the Constitution...that way, when the change is made, we mean it (hopefully we learned our lesson with Prohibition)...

Here you get seven years to finish. I know several people taking a class at a time while working. I'm doing the full time thing, so I'm trying to focus on that as much as possible. I'm actually having a lot of trouble with one class, and the stupid prof hasn't emailed me back after my long email asking for some direction and help. Aggravating. Plus I'm trying to figure out my research paper topic, and I don't know what to do that I can throw myself fully into researching and writing without getting bored with it.
