You are the October centerfold for “Eugenics Illustrated.”
Did you really expect him to put his TDS down long enough to make a rational post.

Hey Treep do you have this card yet?∞∞∞ wrote:This is a huge deal right now in the gaming community and Blizzard is getting hammered for it.Pwns wrote:https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/bjw5 ... l-incident
A Hongkonger Pro esports player suspended a year by an American gaming company for making a statement in support of the Hong Kong protests.
BTW, I'm curious if all this stuff will spark a conversation about Google building software to help the Chinese censor the internet, or if Google has enough woke points from firing James Damore that they can get a pass.
Of course now everyone brings up the HK issue on their own streams and during tournaments, and Blizzard is banning them too. At this rate, China is going to be Blizzard's only customer base.
BlizzCon is coming up on November 1 in Anaheim too...gonna be a complete sh*t show. They couldn't have more poorly timed these bans and their buckling-down. And they're doing this as they were just gaining momentum as people returned en-masse to WoW (which had died off for the longest time).

I've never played WoW. The only thing I've played of Blizzards are the old Diablo games.CID1990 wrote:∞∞∞ wrote: Hey Treep do you have this card yet?
...
BTW I stopped playing WoW about 10 years ago when I started living overseas... which is unfortunate since I’d love to cancel my account today

Fvck the Red Chinese. I always thought Yao Ming was born in the South Bronx anyway. Stiff.93henfan wrote:Lots of talk on the afternoon ESPN panel shows today that the NBA just needs to cancel the games in China.
Agreed, and not sure why they haven't done it yet. Principle > shekels.
China has already torn down all billboards promoting the exhibitions and is (unspoken) going to ensure empty arenas to try to embarrass the NBA (outside China, because they'll also pull the plug on the broadcasts there).

I honestly could name only 3- Kobe Bryant and LaBron James, and the big kraut, Nowiski? Was going to say 4 with Tim Duncan, but I assume he retired.AZGrizFan wrote:Same here. It’s only slightly more entertaining than hockey.HI54UNI wrote:I'm not sure I could even name 5 players in the NBA.

James is the only one of them still playing...BDKJMU wrote:I honestly could name only 3- Kobe Bryant and LaBron James, and the big kraut, Nowiski? Was going to say 4 with Tim Duncan, but I assume he retired.AZGrizFan wrote:

Haven't watched an NBA game in at least 20 years..

Stick with me, young Padawan∞∞∞ wrote:I'm beginning to agree with CID (and probably Trumpians). I'm wholly for global-trade, and I'm ok with free-trade with undemocratic nations, but China is beginning to see how much they can get away with.
I'd be fine if they surpassed us as an economy, but these initial jabs to influence free-thought through economic hegemony are genuine first-pass attempts against Western values. We need to nip it in the bud now, whether that's through protesting products or actual policies.
Of course the problem is American companies are fine selling our values to the highest bidder.

I didn’t. This post is probably an outlier.css75 wrote:∞∞∞ wrote:I'm beginning to agree with CID (and probably Trumpians). I'm wholly for global-trade, and I'm ok with free-trade with undemocratic nations, but China is beginning to see how much they can get away with.

They can rightly be called out as frauds on anything like this.
