Unfortunately it will take out more Republicans than Democrats.

This.
You were in Italy recently, right? I've traveled to Europe in different times of the year and I have NEVER seen massive groups of Asians in any other European city/capital like I saw in Rome and Italy in general. I'm not surprised that Italy is becoming a hot zone.

So you're basically saying that Asians act like people from Jersey?93henfan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 9:30 am This might not be a great analogy for the Iowa/Montanada crowd, but Asians are basically the human version of seagulls at the beach.
You sit down on the bench at the boardwalk on a beautiful day. You grab your first boardwalk french fry out of the container, and then WHAM... 200 birds are instantly circling around you squawking and you're dodging shit as you scramble inside to enjoy your snack away from the annoying fuckers.
If you ever do any camping, they're nasty fuckers too. They'll steal your firewood when you go to the pool. They leave their sites full of trash when they leave. Disgusting people. No values.![]()
Yeah...but they smell about the same. We've discussed how awful Asians are when they travel.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:47 amSo you're basically saying that Asians act like people from Jersey?93henfan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 9:30 am This might not be a great analogy for the Iowa/Montanada crowd, but Asians are basically the human version of seagulls at the beach.

Are you talking about seagulls or Asians?93henfan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 9:30 am This might not be a great analogy for the Iowa/Montanada crowd, but Asians are basically the human version of seagulls at the beach.

They don’t hold a candle to Japan. Give it a few days.BDKJMU wrote:S Korea probably just lost all containment.

I think Iran is even worst off and probably lost containment a while ago without realizing it. I doubt they have any experience tracking or containing highly infectious viruses, and worst is that Iranians trade, travel, and do tons of business throughout the region.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 1:56 am S Korea probably just lost all containment.

So glad my primary clients are airlines, and I have to travel quite often for work.
It is going to really be a shitstorm in the next week or so when those clusters of infected in countries like Japan take off.∞∞∞ wrote:So glad my primary clients are airlines, and I have to travel quite often for work.![]()
Hasn't affected US airlines yet (737 Max been a bigger issue), but I imagine the industry and my job is gonna be feeling it at some point.
Also I transited through Doha and Mumbai ten days ago.
I imagine most third-world citizens are like that, and probably quite a number of people in general. Even my parents, living here for 30+ years now, still operate with that mentality...until the entire household is sick.CID1990 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 7:04 amIt is going to really be a shitstorm in the next week or so when those clusters of infected in countries like Japan take off.∞∞∞ wrote: So glad my primary clients are airlines, and I have to travel quite often for work.![]()

And keep in mind that the milder cases may not even know they are sick ... even while they are contagious.
Then there are countries like Cambodia and Burma where people don’t go to doctors - Cambodia reports 1 case right now but they are a Chinese vassal state. Full of Chinese workers and businesspeople going back and forth. And they have no real reporting mechanisms. So when 82 year old grandma dies of pneumonia, its like “Grandma sure had a nice long life”
That whole thing started with the Thai Minister of Health - he said that Thailand would be fine because of the hot weather.∞∞∞ wrote:I imagine most third-world citizens are like that, and probably quite a number of people in general. I'm surprised India hasn't had an issue (3 cases) considering their size and proximity to China, although they don't have strong business relations. That said, they were on top of things at the airport: screenings, masks, mandatory quarantines. It was nothing like DC or Doha.
Of course it might be that people aren't going to the doctor, or perhaps Trump is right and it doesn't do well in warm climates.
Above seems to update once a day. Below updates hourly, although show sleightly lower worldwide total. Under Table shows per country total, but have to use map to fatalities by country.
