The entire Republican Party is getting schooled by a professional buffoon who waltzed in and walked away with the their carefully-crafted base of halfwits, pinheads, nincompoops, and assorted other mental deficients stupid enough to believe that whats good for the Koch bros. is good for them.
It's is absolutely hilarious to watch but Trump doesn't have a chance against Sanders.

Who's this Sanders fellow? Do you really think Hillary's going to put him on the ticket as the Vice President and have him debate Trump for her?houndawg wrote:The entire Republican Party is getting schooled by a professional buffoon who waltzed in and walked away with the their carefully-crafted base of halfwits, pinheads, nincompoops, and assorted other mental deficients stupid enough to believe that whats good for the Koch bros. is good for them.![]()

haha. I had to remind myself that Huckabee, Santorum, Gilmore and Kasich were still in the "running." Why don't those clowns just quit already? They have zero chance.

I've looked at polls back through the Nixon/Humphrey Presidential election and there's only been one Democrat who has ever won the majority of the vote among White women since then. Do you know who it was?
It was Bill Clinton. And he won it both times. Trump is making a mistake if he thinks he's going to gain ground in the general electorate by going after Bill Clinton.

but Trump has put into plain language the bad position Hillary is in when it comes to putting herself forward as the womens issues candidate
she'll bluster and flounder around with it, and just maybe she will (in her own special way) turn a few more base voters over to Bernie. It won't matter because she is the nominee anyway, but Trump broke the seal and whoever the GOP nominee is will rightly beat her over the head with it if she insists on trying to paint him as a misogynist

Agree with this and your previous post. Trump is the best bet the Republicans have. Although I did read somewhere recently that if you add up the women and minority voters that equals 81% of electorate which is very big hurdle to overcome.CID1990 wrote:Going after Bill wont win Trump any votes he doesn't already haveJohnStOnge wrote:

Move over Anne Coulter!
It becomes clearer and clearer every day that Trump, a big friend of the Clintons (especially Bill), is working for them. He's not even trying to make his faux opposition believable anymore. The whole goal is to make a laughing stock of the Republican party; not that it needed much help.

My wife is not "pro-establishment" at all. She's more "Tea Party" oriented. And when it comes to Trump she has told me that she thinks that if he gets the Republican nomination I should vote for him. And I have told her "no way I can vote for that guy."do find it interesting that a contrarian like JSO is so anti-Trump. Must be his wife's pro-establishment influence.
Not that she is a big fan of Trump either. She's not. But she feels like if Trump DOES win it that's who we have to vote for.
Not me. That would be going too far. That guy is completely out of bounds. No WAY I'll vote for him. Just can't do it. Not going to happen.

Re: 2016 Republican Primary
I think Bush would have a good chance in the general election, but that train seems nearly done for. Unfortunately for him, it looks like he's too center-right to make it out of his party's primary. Personally, judging him as an individual unassociated with his brother, he formulates and articulates thoughts better than most Republican and Democratic candidates, with a decent governing history to boot. I think he'd appeal to moderates if he gets the chance to make a case on the national stage, but again, it doesn't seem like he'll get there.

If you think that both answers are a "tie", then by all means, vote for someone that has no chance of winning, or don't vote at all.

Re: 2016 Republican Primary
No. If it really came down to that as horrible as it would be I would have to vote for Hillary. Just like if you told me that it was SO close and I was in a State that was like Florida was in the Bush Gore election and MY vote was going to decide who is going to be President I'd have to vote for Hillary. THAT'S how bad Trump is. He's totally unqualified and he has no core values at all. He's just an ego that can now see he's doing well.So you're saying that, if the general election came down to Trump and Clinton, and somebody put a gun to your head and told you to vote for one of them, you'd say "pull the trigger"?
And let me tell you: It has to be pretty bad for me to say I'd vote for HIllary under ANY circumstances. But at least with Hillary we would have a rational person in the office.
But the reality is the State I live in probably won't be close so I can just vote for some third Party candidate or not vote at all.
