IIRC, her tax-evading husband cheated on her, and she dumped him.CAA Flagship wrote:Can you imagine being married to her?![]()

I'd spend a lot of money on stiffy pills. But, she like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh is missing something here. They appear to think the opposition to Donald Trump is the Republican "Establishment." It's partially true. Yes, the Republican "Establishment" is against Trump. But what they are missing is that an awful lot of people who have historically been "insurgent" Republicans are ALSO vehemently anti Trump.CAA Flagship wrote:Can you imagine being married to her?![]()
And Romney was spot on with his assessment of what Trump is.

As I've written before, my wife is not "establishment." She was recruited a few years back to run against the "establishment" candidate. She is a Ted Cruz supporter. Whatever you think of Cruz, he is not a favored son of the Republican Establishment.andy7171 wrote:Says the husband of the establishment.

In any case, it is NOT just the Republican "establishment" that doesn't want Trump. An awful lot of people who have historically been referenced as being the Republican "base" that was viewed as so unruly don't want him either. And it's not just that they'd rather have some other candidate they favor. They DESPISE trump and absolutely will NOT support him in a general election.

It's like for the first time, you are realizing what your party has become. You're like little Republican Neo. Re: Awesome bash of entrenched politics...
It's not my party, though as a practical matter i view the Republican Party as the only thing that can effectively stem the destructive influence of the Democratic Party so I will pretty much always vote Republican. It's like for the first time, you are realizing what your party has become.
Having said that, what's going on now is not what the Republican Party has been. To the extent that there is a "has become" it's a very recent "has become." As noted in an article you linked in starting the thread at http://www.championshipsubdivision.com/ ... 10&t=45184 what we're talking about is Trump "attracting" a bunch of people who have not previously been in the Party.
And I don't think these people are coming in order to be in the Republican Party. They're just doing what they need to do in order to vote for Trump.

It's not the Republican Party that attracted Trump voters. It's Trump. As the author of the article you posted in the other thread noted, what's going on is that people who are not Republicans are crossing over in order to vote in Republican primaries for Trump.Perhaps I should have phrased it as "who your party attracts..."
The author of the article looked at it as attracting new people to the Republican Party. But that's not what it is.

I think anybody that takes a look at the conk campaign abortion will prefer the Donald over the Canadian-born Rafael Eduardo Cruz. The glaring difference between them is that Trump doesn't believe his own bullshit. Cruz is a psychopathic true-believer who is despised by 100% of both houses of Congress. If I were President I would sign an executive order making it a minor misdemeanor to kick him in the balls on sight.JohnStOnge wrote:As I've written before, my wife is not "establishment." When you casually read the POLITIFACT cliffs notes on Ted Cruz its a calamitous red-ink disaster...houndawg wrote:

The guy wouldn't know the truth if it curled up and sat in his lap...
What Cruz did to Ben Carson - the campaign sabotage
was an unforgivable lie and exposed his true character

Your wife was recruited by the local Republican Party to be an "insurgent"
You are completely and totally against Trump and Cruz.
AND you thin what Romney did and said was perfect and true.

So I finished the video and yes, she lays some serious wood. Still tough to listen to her speak though.
