Don't disagree...and there's a chance that Trump might disrupt the establishment enough to be a positive but neither party deserves the vote of someone politically aware.93henfan wrote:What? One of the two people you saw on stage tonight is going to win. I don't want it to be Hillary. She is against a majority of the things I care about. Hard to draw anything from this debate unless you were already in the camp of either candidate - both were as poor as advertised and catered to their own camps. Not a shining moment for either of them, but then again, that's been the case for the past few months.

The forest is that Hillary Clinton is against just about everything I care about. You're being obtuse. I'm getting right to the point. Only one person can beat her, so I have to support that person.kalm wrote:Forrest and the trees...93henfan wrote:

True, but Hillary came off much sharper and better rehearsed and Trump took her bait and got flustered.GannonFan wrote:Hard to draw anything from this debate unless you were already in the camp of either candidate - both were as poor as advertised and catered to their own camps. Hence, victory Hillary. She should get a 3-5% bump out of this, but that doesn't mean anything this early.

Gotta love partisan media outlets.
Drudge Report, through 16,000 votes, has 92% Trump winning.
Now to see what the Clinton News Network says...

They came off as they have come off through the campaign. She's establishment, he's anti-establishment. Exactly. What do the undecideds think? Because if Trump gets a couple good sound bites out of this, do the undecideds know any better?GannonFan wrote:They came off as they have come off through the campaign. She's establishment, he's anti-establishment. It's what they do.93henfan wrote:

Right, but debates are designed so that somebody has their hand raised by the ref at the end and that person was Hillary. That's why I think she gets a small bump.GannonFan wrote:They came off as they have come off through the campaign. She's establishment, he's anti-establishment. It's what they do.93henfan wrote:

CNN is stalking Trump after the debate. He's gotten at least another 15 minutes of debate in unopposed AFTER the debate.
Hillary nowhere to be found. Probably getting an IV and an enema.

Re: Presidential Debate Thread- #1
I don't think that happens anymore. People listen to what they already want to listen to. If you're already in one of these camps then you're certainly going to believe that camp won. Trump people are going to love what Trump did, Hillary people are going to love what she did. Doesn't change that it was a mess all over the place.93henfan wrote:Right, but debates are designed so that somebody has their hand raised by the ref at the end and that person was Hillary. Totally agree, but there are still some undecideds (as well as Stein and Johnson cute moral standers) out there and some, even if it's only a couple of percent, will certainly gravitate toward Clinton after these 90 minutes. Trump gained nobody. That's all I'm saying.GannonFan wrote:I don't think that happens anymore. People listen to what they already want to listen to. Quite possibly, but the debate being over just means the spin is in full speed. Who knows where that goes.93henfan wrote:Totally agree, but there are still some undecideds (as well as Stein and Johnson cute moral standers) out there and some, even if it's only a couple of percent, will certainly gravitate toward Clinton after these 90 minutes. Trump is up 52 - 48 in the Time online poll. 165K voted as of my casting.

I'm guessing she's "for" about 80% of what you care about just like Trump. The one glaring exception I'm guessing would be gun rights. But keep on thinking your vote for either party matters....93henfan wrote:The forest is that Hillary Clinton is against just about everything I care about. You're being obtuse. I'll wager it goes 59-41 Clinton +/- 5%.
