Ok, does she go into detail about which parts she thinks are bad how to best remedy it?

As the Republican Congress has learned... it's easy to criticize (I don't think Obamacare is perfect. Obama doesn't think Obamacare is perfect)... more difficult to come up with a better solution. :thumb:

Lahren said. “To say there are things from Obamacare that are not positive, that’s not true.”

She said most Republicans and Trump supporters “don’t believe that every single tenet of Obamacare is bad.
Cripes you guys are desperate.
Yeah, of course the ones that she benefits from aren't bad.

She should definitely take advantage of the best option available to her. Her best option available to her is provided by Obamacare regulations.

Clearly she sees the option to stay on her parent's plan as a good option for her and chose to do that. Thanks Obamacare!
She's also pro choice.

I'd argue Obamacare is looking more brilliant every day. Not brilliant policy of course, but brilliant politics.

It's basically a ticking time bomb and either it's going to blow up in Republican's faces as they try to defuse it or the clock runs down and we end up with a donk president and congress that will give us a significantly more liberal health care system, if not single payer (which in turn will never be repealed).

The idea that health care costs are out of control and that something needs to be done should be a bipartisan issue but it's not and the GOP is content to either pay a very high political cost for a repeal or wait and let donks down the road say "seeee, I told you back in 2009 we needed a public option".

No matter how you slice it Tomi having to admit she is on her parents' insurance due to the ACA makes her look bad in a debate like that.

Having said that I believe in living in the world as it is. It shouldn't stop you from arguing that it should be different. Like, for instance, I intend to collect Social Security and benefit from Medicare but at the same time if I had my way both of those programs would be phased out.

I would rather have not paid Social Security and Medicare taxes over my lifetime and been given the opportunity to plan for my own future while keeping that money. And I think that it's just fundamentally wrong to force people to participate in programs like that.

But with the system being what it is I am sure as heck going to take the money and the benefits. And I don't see that as being hypocritical.

Do you mind rephrasing the second paragraph of this post? Because it makes no sense.

This and Pwns' post above it are spot on.

Other than for those uninsurable with pre-existing conditions, has the ACA done anything to reduce costs overall?
Washington State prohibited denial for pre-existing conditions over 20 years ago.

And yes there's a bit of hypocrisy here but why not take advantage? Even if young adults can stay on their parents plan longer, their share of premiums are still going into the system, no?

I don't see how Tomi saying she's under her parents insurance is a bad thing for her, she's not 26 so why not?

That doesn't preclude her from criticizing the plan. I'm on an employer plan, not Obamacare & I pay over $21K per year for healthcare. Yet, all I hear from the Beltway is focus on individual plans (which are the minority versus employer plans) and nothing basically on coast containment. Meanwhile, the rest of the country gets dicked with substantial increases every year. And the Democrats wonder why they've basically lost every election minus the Presidency since 2010...

Gil, isn't Mapleton a suburb of the Fargo Moorhead Metropolitan area? So while it may not literally be Fargo it is a part of Greater Fargo. Kind of like how Bloomington, Roseville, Maple Grove, etc. are part of the Twin Cities.

The metro area includes all of Cass and Clay counties. Mapleton is a distinct town that was founded in 1875. Is Van Meter, IA considered Des Moines? It's in the Des Moines Metro area, but I don't look at it as Des Moines. It's Bob Fellers hometown and a distinct town.
