I've probably listened to DD and used the term "rad" within the last week. The wife just bought a pair of Rayban Wayfarers and my golf shorts look like clam diggers (all true).

Actually, the phrases and words were embarrassing
Duran Duran was not- the bass line in Rio still stands as one of the best ever
And they attracted a Frank Zappa veteran or two on guitar in the 90s so the musical chops were definitely always tbere
I'm not really embarrassed by any Gen X music (which essentially means the 80s) - my own wife views the 80s the way I do the 70s..... they were like one big cheesy Donnie and Marie variety show...
But 80s music, on the whole, was the last generation of analog and most of the genre was still innovating and progressing
Then millenials came along, not wanting to bother to learn to play an instrument, and rather preferring to program auto studio stuff like Acid
Popular music is complete garbage today
