Nah. In 2008, a voter had every right to want to go in a different direction.
2012 was a different story. That WAS stupid.
You don't remember Sarah Palin? :suspicious:

Don't think you even see much difference between McCain and Obama now. :coffee:

Obama will go down as one of the greats; 100% guarantee there'll be a memorial for him on the Mall.

And Trump's casket will probably get spit on as it lies in repose.

History tends to be very unkind to people like Trump.

Do you ever bother to think about the underlying idiocy of this line of thinking? If you disenfranchise the Trump voters, we’d get statist, anti-Liberty social policies out the wazoo from the low information voters of the left. But that’s OK with you, because you’re one of them.
I SAID "we can't."
Who is this "we" that you refer to? Your fellow Hillary loving lefties?

Like any President, he had low moments, but he did accomplish a great deal of work considering the garbage he had to deal with from GOP. Google is your friend...it's not hard to look them up (although he ended up being way more centrist than he campaigned as).

But he represented the nation with grace, educated himself on issues, heeded advice from experts, spoke eloquently, and most importantly was a great family man and human being.

So like your generation raised Reagan to godlike levels, and trashed Carter's reputation to all hell...mine will fondly remember Obama and throw Trump to the trash heap of history (deservedly so).

And future historians will be even crueler to Trump and his merry band of idiots.

Sac proper (city limits) is full on leftist. The county is bluish purple (plenty of conks still out in the sticks). It'll be full on blue once more boomers start dying off.

I looked at that crap

The only real thing he did was Bn Laden, it was Bush’s work but he did make the call.

All the rest last step are failed liberal policies, Obamacare being the worst. Paris Accord was garbage as was Iran deal and the rest.

So tell me how great the 60 years of Dem rule in the inner city has been?

Steinburg is the Sac mayor now and all he does is tow the leftist agenda. Fortunately I live in unincorporated county so I won't have to deal with the direct financial fallout of his leftist agenda.

Only numbers that fit his narrative, bro.  There's lies, damned lies, and then there's JSO's statistics. Kind of like his insistence that Trump's election hasn't had an effect on the stock market.

December 3, 2014: 17,912
November 4, 2016: 17,888

That's TWO FULL YEARS of the stock market not doing shit. OK, to be fair, it did go down .002%.

Two months after Trump's election: 19,990. Up 11.5%
One year after (Nov 3, 2017): 23,539 (31.3% increase in ONE YEAR)
Today: 25,557: 8.6% higher than November 3rd, 2017, and a 42.54% increase in just over 18 months. How much did the stock market go up in Obama's first 18 months you may ask? 18.9%.

Yeah. No effect.

If you'd like an example from the same region, the far right's tactics have been armed occupation and arson.

So one occupation is worth 20-30 "protests"? Because the ACTUAL ratio is much, much higher than that. And the left is very, very good at arson as well. Also, destroying private property, damaging public property, etc., etc. :coffee: :coffee:

That majority of us in the country who are horrified that somebody like Donald Trump could get elected President of the United States. The natural impulse is to say we can't have people who would do something like vote for Donald Trump ever voting again.

But, of course, we can't do that even if we could.

I'd go with a poll test though. Where we set the bar on that might be dicey. But I'd say if we set it so that for the most part we'd screen out people with IQs below 115 it'd work. I'm pretty confident that if only people with IQs >115 could vote there wouldn't be a snowball's chance in hell that somebody like Trump could ever even be reasonably competitive much less win.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
