Some of us realized this the day he appointed Geithner. Others learned when he dumped single payer. Still others saw the light when stepped up the war effort. And then he apologized for not working more closely with Republicans and agreed to extend the Bush tax cuts.

"dumped" single payer? The mandate? The entire health care debacle was a pathway to single payer...they're not done yet, especially if they get the white house back.

Yeah...we want single payer and it would help people immediately but let’s do it in stages.... over several administrations....just to piss the conks off....

Well, to reclaim the mantel of resident Obama dick sucker...

Obama would have happily signed single payer. He didn't kill it. Moderate Senators like Lieberman and Nelson did.

If that were to happen, Biden family should be picking funeral clothes, Obama does not like being #2.

At this point - at any level - I won't donate money to candidates which don't support a single-payer system. Or any Presidential candidate that won't put in a good faith effort to push it through.

Nice article on how many times there has been a nervous breakdown over Trump's promises.

Best point of the article: "Well, the country is doing just fine, thank you. We’ve survived and prospered. No one is truly “irreplaceable.” That notion might bruise D.C. egos and constrain professional biographers, but it’s true."

Amazing how many people think our government is overflowing with capable people.

Do you think he'll do it himself or sub it out to Hillary? :coffee:

1). I think UNI was being tongue in cheek but your greater point stands.

2). Clinton is not progressive. She is status quo with a slight veneer of populism that shouldn’t have been believed. You supported a moderate Republican.

Credibility for Kalm just cratered. Hillary a moderate Republican, Image Image Image.

You are of tender years and forgetful, young Skywalker. Hillary was raised Republican, in Chicago no less. She was a Goldwater girl and says that it wa the Republican Party that left her not the other way around. If you were older you would know that to be true from experience.

I heard it spoken on one of the political shows I DVR'ed this weekend and it's probably going to be true: 2019 is going to be a high water mark in US history in years of political drama.
