Why are we being asked to pay for these people???

You act like every other person in the world is like that. Common Conk smokescreen attempt.

And, they are our brothers and sisters.

Already done...people who live in those areas pay more for their health insurance, auto insurance, etc...Wedgebuster wrote:Folks that choose to live in populated urban areas are prone to respiratory ailments, injury in automobile accidents, violent crimes, etc. They too put an uneven strain on the medical industry because of their choices. Visage de bout, I don't think "every other person in the world is like that"....I just don't want to pay for anybody WHO IS like that...![]()
I think we should provide health care to anyone under age 18 with a demonstrated. documented inability to receive proper health care from their parent/guardian...that would lower overall health care costs in this country...once 18, you have to pay on your own (got to college, get a job, join the military...lots of places where health care is available)
And yes, they are our brothers and sisters...and I believe in Tough Love for those who elect to waste their money on something other than essentials and then want to cry that I need to pay for their essentials...

Wait, you get free health care, so what difference does the "rate" make??

You know....that "free" healthcare that you sacrificed 25+ years of your life for.Col Hogan wrote:Where do I get "free" health care?????Wedgebuster wrote:

You said free....I never said "not good enough"...Wedgebuster wrote:Right, so now it's not good enough for you, how do you think us tax payers feel about paying for your "not good enough" health care?

Health care is not an inalienable right.

A-fokking-men Mounty....the people claiming this is an inalienable right are laughable....it's no more an inalienable right than having food and shelter provided for every person....please...do tell....how is healthcare an inalienable right? and at what level? I'll chip in to help distributre some free band-aids if that will suffice...ASUMountaineer wrote:There are more than enough places to donate your money C-man if you want to help provide this woman with health care. I was gonna post this same thing last week but I just couldn't get into another argument at the time. This inalienable right to health care shit is ridiculous. If you want health care then take the steps necessary to get it before it's too late. It does take some work but bitching about it after the fact doesn't cut it. Good post and as are the other ones like it.Appaholic wrote:A-fokking-men Mounty....the people claiming this is an inalienable right are laughable....it's no more an inalienable right than having food and shelter provided for every person....please...do tell....how is healthcare an inalienable right? and at what level? Simple answer: cap malpractice payouts.Wedgebuster wrote:Fuking daddy big war buck conkos going batshit over an attempt to bring health costs under control by constantly bellering "you want free coverage." Who said it was going to be free? It ain't free now, and worse than that it is not even accessible for millions because of preexisting conditions, etc. Shit no it ain't free, you government workers may get yours free, but the rest of US are paying for it!![]()
There needs to be equal access for all citizens for the same kind of health care the war bucks types are getting, and their needs to be major changes to the way the business is run in this country. First of all, get the profit away from health insurance, from attorneys, from malpractice, from medical centers, from hospitals, from drug companies.
Health care to the highest bidder!! FOAD!!
A one payer system is the only answer, cut out the greedy bastards that are rolling in the dough from one aspect or another of this industry, and get the care to all the people.
LMAO at you government pukes telling the rest of us that we don't want the government involved in health coverage.

Bull shit, that is only a fraction of the problem. The system is bankrupt, and it is evil. Out with the capitalists and in with the socialists in health care. Wedge I ain't a government worker and I agree with a lot of the things you say but how would it be administered in your mind that those that receive are actually contributing to the bill in some way? Would it be a new line item like Medicare or SS or how would it work in your mind so that people are contributing something to pay their own way? People say that health care is so important to them but in a lot of cases it ranks below cable, Iphones, and 42" plasma's. It's important to them after the fact and when someone else is footing the bill. I don't see what's wrong with people trying to make their own way and a good deal of the 47 million without insurance could afford it if they would cut some of the luxuries. That is a big sticking point for a lot of folks. I ain't generalizing on the luxury item and saying that is the case across the board, I am talking about mother fucker's that I know personally that have that shit and they think that they have a god given right to health insurance and that it should be provided for them.Wedgebuster wrote:Bull shit, that is only a fraction of the problem.
