I think you have missed the point. You brought up Bloomberg's' religion. You said, " a white male Jew to boot" Why is that important to you? And don't say it isn't. If it weren't you wouldn't have mentioned it.

No, that was Ibanez and it’s a different point than what we were discussing.
You said it would be a factor a large portion of the electorate both right and left.
I said I don’t know a single person it would be a factor for.
You called b.s. specifically on that.

Re: Dem VP Candidates
It isn't important to me. But its a factor with the electorate. Just like other candidate factors that have been brought up- age, sex, race, orientation. They're all factors in the election.

I was clearly referring to identity politics for large portion of the electorate.Seriously? I don’t know one single person who it would have an effect on.
It’s really still a thing?
You asked if it (identity politics) was still a thing. I called BS specifically on that.

Ok. But you brought it up when you could've have not written, " white male Jew to boot." That comment suggested that it meant something to you.

If Biden doesn’t make a younger, more progressive VP pick, this thing won’t be close.

One good troll deserves another.
He’ll pick a younger woman of color. But not Caramel Harris.

Re: Dem VP Candidates
Here's just me thinking out loud:
Biden has all the negro votes he'll ever need. He's a negro magnet.
He also doesn't necessarily need to pick a woman, because Trump will already be all the motivation that angry suburban liberal women need to turn out in November.
What Biden does need is youth and a dash of progressivism to get the kiddies like Trip to get excited.
We all know that Buttigieg is negro kryptonite because he smokes pole.
That leaves who I think would be a smart choice: Andrew Yang.
The problem is, Biden needs to flip PA and MI outright and put OH and GA back in play, and I'm not sure a chinaman helps him there.
So that leaves Corey Booker. He's a nice reverse 2008 ticket facsimile.

Some exit polling info I heard last night is that college educated white women are coming out in droves to vote for Biden.

Nah, Corey Booker could actually cause him to lose PA. It's that New Jersey politician vibe, it doesn't play well here in PA. Biden's already on tenuous enough ground here in PA - sure, he was born in Scranton but no one outside of Dunder-Mifflin really considers him a native son. He'll be in a fight with Trump for PA, I just see Booker as being a negative weight in what would be a close race otherwise. Can't speak for Michigan, it could work there. And I think GA is in play regardless of who Biden picks, Ohio not so much.

As long as Obama blesses it with his approval then yes, it could work. I still think it's a negative in PA, but you could get MI and GA out of it. Would still need one more state to flip, based on how 2016 shook out, to win, but that certainly makes it razor close.93henfan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 10:29 amI mean, you got the second mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.
