Neither Bush nor Clinton were complete failures as president. Nor was either a complete success. Each had successes and failures, good points and bad points.

It's mostly the limousine liberals, not the conks, who think they're always right and the normal rules of society don't apply to them, but plenty of those in power fit the description.

That was the beauty of our wonderful Constitution, to provide checks and balances on the power of any one faction and thus reduce the risks of absolute power. Alas, the donks are determined to destroy it.

Your point is well taken! Both conks and donks are equal opportunity destroyers on civil rights. But the Consitution is much more than the fourth amendment, and the fourth amendment alone will not sustain liberty, prosperity, or a civil society.

The donks, and NOT the conks, are responsible for destroying the structural safeguards to liberty and prosperity including but not limited to:

The cop shouldn't apologize for answering a burglarly call and following the proper procedure just because the black guy took offense to him doing his job.
Don't disagree. But he was placed in cuffs after showing the ID I think....shure, Gates is a dumba$$ for delaying on producing the ID. And I feel secure stating that Gates was belligerent while showing the ID. But once produced, easy to determine that there was not a break-in, just leave....surely, being a cop in the Boston area, this is not the first time he's dealt with an obnoxious, self-important a$$hole....
From what I understand the guy gave the cops his Harvard ID which didn't show proof of residence and wouldn't produce other ID and continued to be an asshole so he cut his chances of ending the deal amicably down to zero. The douche asked for trouble, he got it, and wants to make it seem like a racial issue now. I would hate to see Gates not be treated equally and get special breaks/treatment on the issue because he's a black guy.

Conks are not above tampering with the 1st - book burnings, restricting views on subjects they don't like. Campaign Finance was bi-partisan (McCain-Feingold)

And again, the Conks try to impose Federal views on things THEY want or don't like as well...

You must have associated with the "upper" crust black folks. That statement is hard to believe from my POV. It is absolutely the complete opposite in my case. Have since dropped "them" like a bad habit.

How would you know? Did you grow up a minority?

I agree racial profiling might not have been the case here, but to say SOME cops DON'T racial profile is beyond stupid.

Honestly who wouldn't have gone ballistic after being accused of breaking into their OWN home. Whether white, black, brown, or blue. I think both sides were little outta hand here.

As far a Obama saying something bout it, I agree he probably shouldn't have, but the catch is if he didn't he would've had the black community mad at him. I don't mean every single black person. So he was damn if did or if he didn't.

As for making myself look like an ass here, honestly this is a message board, I doubt I'm gonna lose sleep if my E-cred goes down the tubes.

Lastly my faggot comment was a little harsh, I just like to stir up things, my bad if I hurt your feelings.

Never heard of the six figure or more people as "upper crust"???? Money has nothing to do with not as "black". It's all about the attitude and not becoming the stereotype. I am certainly not the stereotype and very proud of that fact. Off topic: I really need to leave Kentucky, then I can find out what financial stability really is? That is the only way that success will happen for me. Losing this weight will certainly help and not give employers a list of reasons for me being a risk. :thumb:

Though related, there are two separate and distinct parts to the Second Amendment, one regarding a "well regulated militia" and another regarding the right of the people to bear arms. It is the militia that needs regulating, not the people.

The Second Amendment went through several iterations before beng passed in its final version by the Congress and sent to the states for ratification: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

None of the iterations espoused a need to regulate the people. All versions stated the thr rights of the people "shall not be infringed."

I didnt' grow up a minority, but I've since become one. I'm a middle-aged white guy.   And if someone had recently broken into my home, and cops were there because someone reported ANOTHER breakin, I think I'd have handled it WAY differently than this black-man-with-a-chip-the-size-of-Rhode-Island did.

And to have E-cred go down the tubes would be to imply you actually HAD it in the first place.

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."
