Is there some reason why you think a Libertarian shouldn't support having a unit within the National Security Council to monitor for potential pandemics and respond to evidence that they are emerging?

Answer this first:
Is it possible that this was just another layer of redundancy withing the government?
Do we need another voice in the room when decisions are being made?
I think it's pretty clear what the challenges are with this virus and the shortcomings of our current system to deal with it.
Would another voice in the room change any of that?
