Again, if you're not religious or don't believe in countries, this song is for you. If you do, you can still like the tune and what you think is the message, but you're a dolt for holding it up as something you'd stand behind. Sorry it's too complex for you kalm.

I believe in god and countries AND the message we’re all in this together. Lennon obviously wrote more on the subject but I don’t think he’d mind too much others interpretation of it.

Lennon was a bit of an asshole but his messaging along with guys like Bob Marley who projected concepts like “One Love” are as close to what I hope god is as any sermon in a brick and mortar church.

If consciousness is just an emergent property of all of our molecules and cells it's plausible IMO. All of us have atoms that made up some now-dead person or organisms body.

Though obviously the type of reincarnation where you have repressed memories you could recover wouldn't work because physical memory is destroyed at death.

Well I always loved the analogy that the Universe was more like a plant than a human brain
which was a cool way of saying something like "it's probably not as complicated as we make it.." or kind of Occam's razor

and in the world of basic biology reincarnation is a necessity of plant life
