What I learned in kindergarten almost 50 years ago about basic hygiene...
1. Wash your face and hands with soap and warm water for 30 seconds. Make sure you wash the backs of your hands and between your fingers.
2. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. Promptly wash your hands (see #1).
3. If you are sick, stay home. If you have to go out while you are sick, wear a face covering.
Nothing new here. You may call it "safety protocol". I call it "basic hygiene".
Good luck with that in this country. How many people do you see leaving public restrooms without washing their hands? How many people sneeze or cough on you in public without covering their mouth? And face covers???......good luck with that one! Some people act like asking some people to wear a mask is like asking them to give you their guns!
Being a karaoke enthusiast, I have witnessed many instances for years where these are not followed. I've also seen where the venues did not have any soap available. I do know the virus is real, but part of me thinks that the spread of the virus could be curtailed if we all follow what we learned in kindergarten. It starts to be less about prevention and more about power when more and more restrictions are put in place.
As for the face coverings, when I was sick and had to make a quick dash to the market for chicken soup and orange juice, I would put a face covering on. When I wasn't sick, I wouldn't. I would like to still be able to follow that rule without being told by the government that I am some sort of criminal for not wearing one.
