Just like there are bad elements in the police force. There are bad elements using the protest as a diversion to clean out pharmacies and liquor stores and anything they can steal to make money on. There have been a lot of sightings of out of state vehicles the last few days.∞∞∞ wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 5:18 am "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Jefferson
I know conservatives like to throw out this quote when they fantasize about overthrowing the fed, but in reality, it rarely applies to the complete take down of the US. Sometimes only a reminder is necessary.
I can't condone violence, but I can't blame the protestors for watering the tree either. It's a bit dry right now.

Depends.
If it's a white civilian killing a black jogger is south Georgia it could take months.

Nothing says sticking it to da man like burning subsidized housing, small businesses (including a sports bar a black firefighter spent his life savings on), and stealing flat-screen TVs.∞∞∞ wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 5:18 am "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Jefferson

Eh, there will always be collateral in conflict. Happened during the Revolution, happened during the riots of 67, will happen here.
It doesn't divert from the overall point: people are angry, frustrated, poor, sick and tired of corruption in the US.
MLK:
As I have walked among the desperate, rejected, and angry young men, I have told them that Molotov cocktails and rifles would not solve their problems. I have tried to offer them my deepest compassion while maintaining my conviction that social change comes most meaningfully through nonviolent action...They ask if our own nation wasn't using massive doses of violence to solve its problems, to bring about the changes it wanted. Their questions hit home, and I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today: my own government...

What happened last night? I was super busy with the first warm evening of the year, drinking Buffalo Trace, and watching the stars come out.

The curfew worked like a "NO Guns Allowed" sign at a mass shooting. Protests in most major cities around the country. CNN was under siege in Atlanta, White House was surrounded. More military called into Minneapolis/St Paul.

Just black people fighting for their rights in the Americas.
Ya know...the usual stuff for the 528 years since Columbus brought his slaves over.

Nothing you intentionally target is collateral damage. The 1773 equivalent would be the colonists burning a tavern that sells non-British tea because they just happened to be in their neighborhood. Your problem is trying to ascribe rationality to a heap of thugs.∞∞∞ wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 6:10 amEh, there will always be collateral in conflict. And these are the same idiots will complain about how "systemic racism" is the reason grocery store chains and businesses don't want to open in minority neighborhoods.

The Minnesota protest had a good mix of all races marching down the street in Minneapolis.

Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)
Minnesota Governor is on talking about the out of town instigators. Largest force in Minnesota history is being deployed today. Even larger than the group that marched thru Georgia with General Sherman.

Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)
That's the beauty of it; it's become more than Floyd's death. People of all creeds are frustrated.
Summer to November is going to be fun, and November to January is gonna be off the charts. After January, who knows.
Stay safe everyone.

I've never come into contact with anyone from Antifa, and I'm probably as deep into left-wing networks as anyone here. I'm convinced there's no real organization to it, just small pockets who "fight" under a movement with undefined or loose goals.
It's definitely a fantastic boogeyman for the right though.

The right is lucky to have boogeymen given the monopoly the left has on them∞∞∞ wrote:I've never come into contact with anyone from Antifa, and I'm probably as deep into left-wing networks as anyone here. Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)
It proves the overall point: A bunch of mostly younger people want to use any excuse they can to loot and destroy property. To them, breaking, burning, and free stuff is awesome. I figured you’d make excuses for them.∞∞∞ wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 6:10 amEh, there will always be collateral in conflict. Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)
Lol not even remotely close. What idiot in the government or media said that? Sherman had around 60k in his Army on his March through Georgia.
The mayor said the Minneapolis PD has 800. The entire MN State Police are less than 1k (and they can’t all be in MSP). The entire MN Nat Guard has apparently has 13.2k with 2.4k ‘activated ready to mobilize’.

How many of Sherman's 60k were from Minnesota? That's the number they're talking about this force being larger than. Reading comprehension is essential.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 10:07 amLol not even remotely close. What idiot in the government or media said that?
