How? Isn't that only true if you believe that 50+% of people who get Covid are hospitalized. The reality seems to be that simple safety precautions saved more lives in 2020 than modern medicine and vaccines.

That number should even out some as more young people get the vaccine. Commorbidities are still a thing but death rates overall are going down.

Provide a reference. Everything I have seen indicates that the mortality rate among those getting vaccinated is far lower. In other words: Even if you get the disease after being vaccinated, your chances of being hospitalized and/or dying from it are lower. I would like to see where you got your information.

Isn't that their selling point? By performing gain of function testing, we might be able to predict what happens when a virus does mutate and gain function.
