And maybe EMP's - this whole blowing stuff up and the resulting smoke can't be good for the environment either. I'm sure Kerry just hopes that Ukraine can fold quickly so that we can keep the overall emissions relatively low. Heck, Kerry might be okay with a certain level of casualties - that's less people to breathe out CO2 with every breath, right?BDKJMU wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 3:07 pmMan, if only the Russians had electric tanks, APCs, and aircraft.Winterborn wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 10:23 am Since this article mentions both Ukraine and Putin I thought I would through it here. I mean climate change and environmental issues (world stability, energy independence, melting ice opening direct routes to N America, losing key bases to rising waters, etc.) are national security concerns and the military itself has been raising the alarm for decades.

Question: When a country (that’s not an ally) attacks a country that is an ALLY, could a cyberattack by country A against the US be considered an act of war?

I was just thinking, I wonder if there is a Ukranian language version of Red Dawn?
Also I see they did a remake in 2012. Apparently initially it was verse the Chinese, but the Hollywood libs changed it to vs the North Koreans because they didn’t want to offend the Chinese. The movie didn’t get released in China regardless, so they should have kept it vs the Chinese.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
Ukraine never should have given up their nukes by agreeing to the Budapest memorandum. Its clear Russia, and to a lesser extent, the UK amd US, never were going to uphold it.
Should be a lessen for all countiries in the future who obtain nukes- never ever give up your nukes, even with “we’ll protect you” assurances from the West.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... osses.htmlUkrainian forces destroyed dozens of Russian tanks along the eastern and northern borders on Thursday.
According to the country's defence ministry, the figure was higher than 30 by the end of Thursday. They also claimed to have destroyed 'up to' 130 armoured combat vehicles.
Ukrainian forces put up a stiff resistance around Kharkiv where multiple Russian tanks and armoured vehicles were pictured destroyed - with bodies lying in the streets.
Later, another BMP fighting vehicle was captured, along with the crew of four Russian soldiers, in the same region in eastern Ukraine.
And around 2pm local time (12pm GMT) the Ukrainian military said troops had destroyed five armoured transport vehicles and a car during fighting at the Vistupovich-Rudnya border point between Ukraine and Belarus.
A further 15 T-72 tanks were destroyed or damaged by the Ukrainian forces using the Javelin PTRK, an American anti-tank missile, nearly Glukhov in the country's east late this afternoon.
In other incidents, tank-busting rocket launchers donated by Britain were said to have destroyed Russian tanks, while Javelin missiles gifted by Sweden destroyed a column of enemy vehicles
I knew the US under Trump had sold Ukraine Javelins. Thought I read today 360?. Apparently they’ve bought some from other countries also..

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
We should give Ukraine as many Javelins as they want. We were just fielding them in the fleet before I left the USMC. It's a badass system. Lock on, fire and forget and GTFO of town before the armor knows what hit it. Flies over the target; sends two shape charges downward into the thinnest armor; first triggers any reactive armour; second makes strawberry jam of the crew. Fucking beautiful.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 5:45 pmhttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... osses.htmlUkrainian forces destroyed dozens of Russian tanks along the eastern and northern borders on Thursday.
