If I HAD guns of those calibers, I would have ammo for those calibers. But considering the amount of ammo I don’t have for the guns I don’t have I think I have enough and don’t need to buy more in calibers for which I don’t have guns. Clear?

I still want to know who will "walk" through multiple 22lr rounds to get to my family.

There’s a reason law enforcement and the military don’t use a .22 as a defense round. But if you want to, you do you. I sure hope no one is going to be depending on you to protect them with your little .22

.22 LR is a VERY underrated round. It will put the mist abundant wild meat - squirrel and rabbit - on the table. As a teenager I used to routinely come home after 2-3 hours with 3-4 squirrels and you can easily subsist on that. Plus, you can buy these rounds cheaply by the carton. I probably have at least 15k rounds lying around in bins at the house in NC.

I remember it being considered the number one cash crop in WA state in the 80’s ahead of apples, cherries, wheat, potatoes and lentils. We’re somewhere near top 10 in most of those categories.

My understanding is that the black market crop in both CA and CO is still a greater revenue generator than the legal crop. And probably always will be.

If the gubmint had any sense they would have left things alone and given the the growers sales tax forms

I watched a couple YouTube videos on the 22LR and was really surprised at how far out the 22LR was able to completely pass through a 6 inch thick pork shoulder.

There's got to be an easier way to tenderize that meat.

A .22 isn’t much if a deterrent. Its for like as Cid said, great for hunting small game. Also cheap round for plinking and great for teaching kids to shoot.

No sense using a little deterrent, when you can use a much bigger deterrent like a 12 gauge pump, where racking the slide will be way more deterrent than your little .22. Or something that shoots a bigger round, be it handgun, carbine, or MSR, in case you actually have to use it.

You have to realize, that's the only gun I have left after the accident. Now just to figure out what to do with my leftover 5.56, 9mm and 12 g ammo.

My grandpa had an old International Harvester Pick-up - from sometime in the 60's. I really wish my Dad had let me have it instead of including it in the farm equipment auction after grandpa passed.

Honda Ruckus. I'm dreaming here, but when thinking of how we would bug out, keep 4 Ruckuses in the garage and turn the garage into a Faraday box. They get about 105mpg and will do about 35 mph max. Perfect when roads are blocked by cars.

I assume what you are getting at is the humans? I'd thought about how quick and nasty people would become. I'd put a Gatling gun on the front of my Ruckus.
