If a state wants to make it illegal to evict a tenant maybe they should take responsibility for the cost and effort to house them.

So abdication of all responsibility is going to be allowed now? Birth control is cheap and plentiful.UNI88 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:16 am Is an unwanted baby is some ways an unwanted tenant? From that perspective, we now have Democrats advocating for landlord rights and Republicans advocating for tenant rights.

It's easy for a woman to regulate. Close her legs.kalm wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 8:59 amEjaculation clearly needs to be regulated…GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 8:48 am
Hard to say how they'll be able to verify any of that. You'll never be able to know if an egg had been fertilized or not. Lots of eggs get fertilized but then don't implant in the uterus. It's no sure thing that a fertilized egg gets to the next step even naturally. No doubt a fertilized egg is certainly the start of a life, but that's the issue we have right now - science tells us life begins at conception, but we don't have anyway to move that out of a woman's body and allow the life to continue, before a certain point. Until we can create artificial wombs we'll have this issue. And once we have artificial wombs we'll have a new problem of too many orphans.

It's just as easy for a man to regulate. Keep it in his pants.
I'm just following Trump's lead - have a good time at other's expense, take credit for the good and avoid responsibility for anything that could be considered bad or cost money.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:20 amSo abdication of all responsibility is going to be allowed now? I'm fine with that. You don't want to be a father wrap it up or zip it up.
But, only protected by the right to privacy.
There's a right to privacy, and even Alito's draft says that. The Left's meltdown that this will now result in everything being overturned (gay marriage, contraception, even interracial marriage - the Left still do realize that Clarence Thomas, a Black man, is married to a white woman, no?) is more fear-mongering as opposed to real political action. None of those things are in any danger as they differ significantly from the abortion question. All those other cases involve two different people making a mutual decision on how to live. Abortion, as pro-life people will say, doesn't have that mutual component.Skjellyfetti wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:45 amBut, only protected by the right to privacy.
If there is no more right to privacy, these groups will start pushing limiting contraceptives and birth control.

The experts get to decide. They also need to raise a person's insurance premiums if they have an abortion. Proven you can't make the right choice, so the experts will decide for you.UNI88 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 11:12 amLibs agree with you. Who defines the greater good? Some self-righteous big-government twat or some self-righteous religious zealot? Both are determined to impose their version of morality on others.

No. In this instance the experts are the pro-life crowd. They are the only ones that truly grasp the gravity of the situation.kalm wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 11:21 amFauciSeattleGriz wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 11:19 am
