The only people responsible for the invasion of Ukraine are the actual people who invaded Ukraine. Russia didn't have to do anything, but they chose to invade Ukraine. Russia wasn't threatened in any way, other than being restricted in dominating and attacking their neighbors at will. They wanted the freedom to attack neighbors at will and steal their territory, and the rest of the world has decided that kind of behavior is no longer tolerated.

...that said credit to Biden for absolutely squeezing the Euro's over this Ukraine-Russia War. He cut them off from Russian gas and now they have to buy ours (or Russian gas via Chinese middle men for a premium). It's going to be a fun winter for them.
