It’s situational. nobody has been forced to take vaccines. There just might be consequences for choosing not to.

No, the Jonestown reference was more about someone who grows weed in the utopian jungles of Washington state and seems to be allergic to the outside world

Bad reference. Jonestown was a cult with a sociopathic egomaniac as a leader. It’s just about protecting the children. The Escambia county school district, located in Pensacola, Florida, removed several dictionaries and encyclopedias from school libraries after school officials determined that the books violated Florida law HB 1069.
...
District officials also removed copies of The Guinness Book of World Records, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not, a book for children that highlights unusual stories and “hair-raising oddities”, according to the book’s description.

You do realize that the "jabs" were developed under trump. Fast-tracking their development might have been the only accomplishment of his presidency in 2020.Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 7:04 amNah, when dictator Biden told his flock to get jabbed, you guys couldn’t wait to get in line to drink the Kool Aide.

Of course I realize they were developed under Trump, but he’s not the one who tried to demonize the ones who choose not to take it or proclaim “if you get vaccinated, you won’t catch the virus” …. I too was against the criticism of those who wouldn't take the vaccine. The government (whether woke liberals or zealous conservatives) shouldn't be making healthcare decisions for people and families. That includes Covid vaccines and gender care.Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 9:54 amOf course I realize they were developed under Trump, but he’s not the one who tried to demonize the ones who choose not to take it or proclaim “if you get vaccinated, you won’t catch the virus” …. When the media plays fare, the election was stolen narrative will fade away, but the media leans heavy to port so they have to take part of the blame for what they helped create. And by the way, the insurrection that just wasn’t is a big political rallying cry for the DemsUNI88 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:16 amI too was against the criticism of those who wouldn't take the vaccine. The “if you get vaccinated, you won’t catch the virus” was a mistake not "one of the biggest lies ever told". It was corrected and they stopped saying it once they knew it was wrong. The election was stolen was a much bigger lie, hasn't been corrected, and many gullible fools still believe it.

The media isn't nearly as impactful as they used to be. MAGAt yahoos get their information from echo chambers that are at least as biased as the MSM (and "at least as" is being extremely generous). Fox is part of the MSM and leans starboard but they're still dismissed by MAGAt yahoos because they aren't loyal enough to trump and don't push all of the tinfoil hat conspiracy theories.
We're 3 years in and the election was stolen narrative is still going strong. Con men continue to push it and gullible marks continue to believe it. That's on the con men and the marks not the media.
Insurrection, sedition, call it what you want but January 6 WAS an attempt to prevent the Constitutional transfer of power. MAGAt yahoos like to focus on instances like the Capitol Police letting protestors enter and pretend that it was peaceful but the property damage, violence and willful disrespect for our government and our nation happened. The rioters attempted to stop the certification of the election and overturn the will of the people. They deserved to be prosecuted and they earned their criminal sentences. They're criminals not hostages.

I think it's about more than just the number of people who participated in the riot. The people who say it was peaceful and not a big deal are complicit. The people who call the convicted rioter hostages are complicit. The people who try and downplay the riot, the fake electors and attempts to bully state officials are complicit. They're attempting to spread their own false narrative to further their agenda.Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 12:29 pmI really think overstate the whole MAGA yahoos thing. remember, the media needs MAGA yahoos to create a falseUNI88 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 12:00 pm

narrative for votes and talking points.
Example
Trump 74,000,000 votes
The fake insurrection 1,000 yahoos
If 1 % of Trump voters showed up on January 6th that would be 740,000 people
If 1/10th of 1 % showed up it’s 74,000 people
1/100 th of 1 % is what it was close to

One doesn't play fare, CH, one plays fair - now if you're talking uber its different then one pays fare, not to be confused with buying a bicycle in which case you hope to pay fair, or less if possible.Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:54 amWhen the media plays fare, the election was stolen narrative will fade away, but the media leans heavy to port so they have to take part of the blame for what they helped create.
