You need to send that to the countries being invaded.

Its none of our business.
You're not attempting to revive the false narrative that it's Ukraine's fault they were invaded are you?
I really don't care about Ukraine or why they were invaded. If you don't like being invaded then protect your borders like the USA does

Biden opened the floodgates to let these lawbreakers in. It was sarcasm

You ignore facts

Trump was the President and the Ukraine didn’t get invaded until Biden was elected
So russia wouldn't have invaded Ukraine if George HW Bush, Bill Clinton or George W Bush were President. Facts!

FTR - russia did invade Ukraine before biden was elected so you might want to brush up on your facts.

Most importantly, I don't think you understand the difference between correlation and causation. A correlation is not a fact or even proof no matter how many MAQA yahoos shout it in their echo chambers.

Nope - February, 2014

If trump were half the diplomatic legend he and his MAQA yahoos make him out to be, he would have convinced putin to give the Crimea back to Ukraine.

Just establishing that CH's grasp of the facts is shaky.

Back on topic:

Most importantly, I don't think CH and others understand the difference between correlation and causation. A correlation is not a fact or even proof no matter how many MAQA yahoos shout it in their echo chambers.

Then trump losing the 2020 election had no impact on the decision to invade Ukraine. We can stop spreading the false narrative that putin wouldn't have invaded if trump were President.

You're right. That's almost as far-fetched as trying to argue that putin wouldn't have invaded if trump had won the 2020 election. :coffee:

MIC wants to keep that money flowing for weapon sales and the politicians on the Hill wan to keep the kickbacks from the corrupt Ukrainian gubmint flowing. Not really that hard to follow.

Saw someone speculate that Ukraine might get serious about a peace deal given that Mean Tweets is now favored to win in November and he would likely draw an end to this whole debacle if that happens (one of the reasons for the assassination attempt yesterday). For the sake of all the Ukrainians getting press ganged into cannon fodder, I hope peace finds this corner of the globe sooner rather than later.
Peace without NATO membership for Ukraine is temporary. It just gives Putin time to rearm and train his conscripts before attacking again.

Indeed. Ukraine is very likely going to be unable to push Russia out of its territory. Just like Crimea, Russia will apparently be holding on to Ukrainian territory for the foreseeable future. But if Ukraine signs off on any "peace" treaty, it'll have to be with NATO membership for what's left of Ukraine or Russia will just continue the war as they did after seizing Crimea. Russia won't chance NATO getting involved, so the best way to save the rest of the Ukraine is to get a treaty now at the same time they get NATO membership.
Nah, the die has been cast. Russia won't call off the hounds in this current war if there is even a remote possibility of Ukrainian NATO membership in the foreseeable future. The Russians will just take the part of Ukraine they need to ensure Ukraine is a rump state in perpetuity, at which point NATO wouldn't offer membership status.

My post was a fact no matter how much you twist and squirm

Why can’t you accept facts as facts?

Trump wasn’t the President in 2014

While Trump was President the Ukraine was not invaded by Russia

When Biden was President the Ukraine was invaded by Russia

As far back as 1997, Putin was asking both Clinton and Bush if Russia could join NATO

Yes?

The Cold War was over and we won

So what went wrong?
