How is that an example?

Who are you quoting?
I thought he was talking about donald trump and advocating for a 100% inheritance tax. :coffee:

Anyone who supports or voted for Trump and considers themselves a Christian is severely misguided.

What are you doing to prevent the rounding up illegals? Why are you not taking them into your home, feeding and clothing them?

To answer your question, I've accepted that I'm not even close to perfect and never will be, and thus, am grateful for the Grace of God. I've accepted that I am a sinner and no matter how hard I try, I can't work my way into heaven. It's only through Jesus that I have a path. As such, I don't moralize because that is not the point. Just read the latter books of the New Testament and that should be clear.

I further my beliefs by treating everyone with respect and to me, more importantly with respect, except dipshits on this board, and give money to causes that help the less fortunate. Before my youngest, my wife and I both were able to give "works", but now cannot.

Your backstory is depressingly common, but yet you still keep pushing the narrative that others somehow need to work their way to heaven. That is what I take offense to - the fact you keep trying to sell the Grace of God as inadequate.
Why am I not taking illegals into my home to prevent them from being rounded up? Wouldn't that be illegal? I'm not a criminal like our President. I also have 3 kids that are my priority and getting arrested and sent to El Salvador would get in the way of my being there for them? What did you do to free the seditious rioters involved in January 6? Why didn't you help them escape from prison?

Bullshit, you moralize toward me and my posts on a regular basis and then get mad when the tables are turned. You have every right to practice Christianity as you like. You don't have the right to expect the same of others or to attempt to marginalize them if their priorities do not align with your beliefs. I will continue to point out the hypocrisy of people who self-identify as Christians who think that homosexuality is a sin against god but loving your neighbor is optional. Tough if you don't like it.

Where did I "push the narrative that others somehow need to work their way to heaven"? I literally said about the assholes (like trump) "I do hope they saw the light, confessed their sins and accepted Jesus on their deathbed." God's grace doesn't mean that I can't point out the hypocrisy between their religion and their words and actions. I'm just trying to help them be a little better.
You for sure could take in those refugees who claimed they needed asylum until their court date. A good, moral person would do that.

In regards to moralizing, I do not moralize towards you, but I do point out you keep pushing a version of Christianity that is not only incorrect, but shows you don't understand what you are talking about. I'll say this yet again, and this is important - If you bothered to read the Bible, you would know the Old Testament was all about the law and how you needed to do this or that in order to be considered "good enough" to be with God. Throughout the whole Old Testament was man constantly failing to meet the law and thus falling short. In essence, the Old Testament was to show people there was absolutely NO WAY they could ever be good enough to work their way to heaven. This is what you keep promoting and why I call you out.

In the New Testament, we find Jesus and he becomes the sacrifice that allows everyone, regardless of how fucked up they are, a way to get to heaven. You keep trying to tear this down and bastardize this message with your bullshit - essentially saying Jesus's sacrifice wasn't good enough and everyone has to work their way into heaven. Everyone should be a decent person, but you've got a serious misunderstanding that it only pertains to Christians. Now if you would have figured that out, you'd probably have been less butt hurt over others being bad six days a week, because words and actions don't matter to get into heaven. That is why it is called Grace.

I call bullshit on you moralizing - you moralize toward posters and politicians that you disagree with including me. I will admit that I moralize because I'm self aware and man enough to admit it.

My apologies, I assumed when you asked why I didn't take immigrants in you were asking why I didn't take them in before ICE detained them in what could be called concentration camps. They are not out and about and looking for a place to stay so I don't think I can take them in while they wait for their court date. Unfortunately, that's not how justice works under the trump regime.

Well since none of the self appointed know it alls would touch it…. Here you go. Perfect example of what it means about getting taken advantage of….

If a man will not work, he shall not eat." There are people who want to live an irresponsible lifestyle with absolutely no accountability. So there must be limits; we will help someone with a need, but if we see that it’s become a chronic life pattern, it’s wrong for us to continue to encourage that. It’s very harmful to others to contribute to their indolence, laziness, and lack of effort. The old saying "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime" is very true. As long as we see that someone is sincerely making an effort, we should be there to support him in whatever way God leads.
How is that an example?

So the Catholic, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox and any other sects/denominations of Christianity are all the same version?

Lastly, you are a terrible person for voting for trump knowing that he would would send ICE Barbie and her gestapo to round up those poor immigrants and place them in concentration camps preventing me, you or anyone from taking them in.

I'm still waiting for you to explain how I was saying that Jesus' sacrifice wasn't good enough? You're not getting off the hook on that one. Or you could apologize for misrepresenting my posts. That approach would put the humble Christian and the never apologize MAQA in conflict though.

Validating Steven Miller with a James Woods post? I’m guessing you’re quite unaware of what they represent.

(I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt here so look up their social media posts or in Miller’s case, news articles on his statements and actions.).

You are not a serious person on this topic. Wow. That only took what, three posts? Fraud.

I have not read the bible in it's entirety. Please moralize some more and tell me why I I'm not entitled to my opinion(s) because of that.

You haven't read the Bible, but you want to tell me your version of Christianity is correct. Do I have that right?

You are not a serious person on this topic. Wow. That only took what, three posts? Fraud.
No, as usual you don't have that right. As usual, you can't argue with what I say so you put words in my mouth and argue against a strawman. I never said that my version of Christianity is correct. In fact, I'm almost certain it isn't.

That doesn't mean that I can't point out the hypocrisy of people who self-identify as Christians yet fail to follow Christ's teachings. I am not alone in that opinion. A religious expert much more qualified than you or I agreed with me ...'
"the sickness or, you can say the sin, that Jesus condemns most is hypocrisy," which is precisely what is happening when someone claims to be a Christian but does not live according to the teaching of Christ.
You cannot be a Christian without doing what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 25," which is to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and welcome the stranger.
"It's hypocrisy to call yourself a Christian and chase away a refugee or someone seeking help, someone who is hungry or thirsty, toss out someone who is in need of my help," he said. "If I say I am Christian, but do these things, I'm a hypocrite."

I don't suffer fools, especially over Christianity, and you have proven time and time again, that you do not understand what you are saying.
