Prove it or STFU. You, trump and other MAQA yahoos keep saying but you're all hat, no cattle (just like the whole 2020 election was stolen canard).

And make sure it's proof of "Lot's of em".
Indivisible project that sponsors the Minnesota protest, had revenue of over $10 million in 2024. Mostly from nondeductible donations. They have 6 officers listed on the tax form that make over 200,000 per year from compensation and other sources not listed on the tax form. This is just a quick Google search. Where there is six there will be many getting paid.
So? Do you think nationwide protests…marketing, organizing are free? Do you think $10 million is > than the ICE budget? Are defenders of freedom supposed to protest and file lawsuits for free?

Sorry if you don't get the political connection. I am stating facts, not arguments. Call it what you want, it doesn't make your side look better by discounting mine.
“My side”? My side is the constitutionally governed, democratic, free society. What’s yours?

Posing the question “politically motivated is not stating a fact, Gil.
Your side if this discussion, not a political question.

Take away Trump, Walz, Noem, Frye. Does ICE doing their job get protested?

If “doing there job” is like how they’re currently doing it, of course. People tend to not like law enforcement over-reach and violence.

What are you asking with politically motivated? Are you Gil?

Why do you think they’re protesting immigration now? Perhaps they’re protesting authoritarianism, cruelty, rule of law. Again…another poor example.

We can all be hypocritical on politics, Gil. You’re just not making very good arguments here.
If it was a Democrat in the White House you would not see the ICE protest. It's basically all anti Trump. In 2008 there was a protest group every Friday anti-war, in a Twin Cities street corner I drove by every day. Obama gets elected and the protest disappeared. The protesters are not trying to help the people that need help, they are anti Trump protesters. How many have taken an immigrant into hiding or tried to have them become a citizen.
Exactly Gil

Bill Clinton 1995

Slick Willy would be a far right MAGA yahoo by todays standards

“We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it," during his 1995 State of the Union address”

They have no reason to deny being paid. They have the right to peaceful protest. Minneapolis has many political vigilante protesters.

In 1995, the U.S. changed its policy for Cubans interdicted at sea, creating the "wet-foot, dry-foot" rule: Cubans intercepted ("wet foot") were sent back to Cuba or to third countries, while those reaching U.S. soil ("dry foot") were allowed to stay and eventually apply for legal residency under the Cuban Adjustment Act (CAA). This reversed prior policy, where most Cubans reaching U.S. territory were admitted, and ended the practice of holding them in camps like Guantánamo Bay, with Cuba agreeing to accept returnees without punishment.

If there was a Democrat in the White House, ICE (and CBP) wouldn't be roaming the streets of American cities in large numbers armed like SWAT teams, hiding behind masks and beating up American citizens for exercising their Constitutional rights.

That's not to say that the Democratic administration wouldn't be doing things that I would disagree with, they absolutely would. But I seriously doubt it would be this.

I will freely admit to not liking trump. But IMO protests against ICE/CBP are about more than anit-trump, they're about opposition to actual immigration policy and tactics. They're about protecting the Constitution of the United States of America.

How about a link and the part that shows how many have died under ICE this year? The cause of death woukd also be helpful (if it can be trusted).

Four died in ICE custody this week as 2025 deaths reach 20-year high

From what i can tell, there were 26 deaths in 4 years under biden and 56 in 8 years under Obama.

I forgot to quote the article for those who don't want to click on the link so they can be the three blind mice ...
At least 30 people have died in ICE detention this year, according to agency notices. The total for 2025 - which still has 12 days remaining - is the highest level since 2004, according to ICE statistics.
That's more deaths in one year than died in biden's 4 years.
- biden averaged 6.5 deaths/year
- Obama averaged 7 deaths/year

Wa post is also reporting ICE has an $8 million budget to pay on-line influencers. They’re trying to reverse engineer a murder.
