we're multiplying so fast we will likely double the entire global population in 100 years

We better hope the planet cycles a HUGE temperature shift (and fast) something wacky and inhospitable in short order would be preferable - just to slow down the incessant breeding

COME ON GLOBAL WARMING..!!!

You make a point I've been trying to make to T-man for going on 4 years now...
He just HATES the fact that somebody is makin' money off of the Global Warming scare - becuase it can't be that anything has actually "changed" in his life...

It's just that somebody is getting over on somebody else - and it's not a capitalist imperial free market scam like the ones he enjoys... it's a Liberal Scam..!!! So he's pissed about it...

it's that simple

But as far as "Lives being turned upside down" please show me one example..?

I think I love you, Chizzle.

The gas you save by driving less is more than made up for by the greenhouse gases you emit from your a$$ while you sit in front of your computer eating Doritos and whacking off to Sarah Palin.

Global warming is obviously occurring some where else but Wyoming this year.

The weather in southern Wyoming has been so snowy and cold this fall, antelope are leaving their home on the range and moving into populated places.

Typical Wedgie, 8-10 years behind the times.....it's not GLOBAL WARMING anymore, Wedgie....it's called CLIMATE CHANGE...that way, they can take credit for ANY change in the climate, even when it's colder than normal in Wyoming. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Not yet. But the threat is there especially with the EPA threatening Congress as happened earlier this week. And it is all based on questionable data, questionable in the sense of the time frame.

Two years ago today it was 78 degrees in Norfolk, a record high for the day. Right now it is 37. Those numbers are interesting but not significant. I didn't buy a new A/C 2 years ago and I'm not getting any new heaters today. Weather is weather. It is variable. It only become significant when there is a long term trend. So to prove to me their is global warming/climate change I'm going to have to see a trend over a period of time that registers as a whole number in the history of the earth. If you can't demonstrate that to me then I'm sorry, I can't get on board.

And one more thing. I have always believed that you know people by the company they keep. It just so happens that the most ardent gw/cc people are also the most anti-business/anti-capitalist people around. And it just seems to me that there may be the possibility that the concept of gw/cc may just be the tool they are using to accomplish their long-term goals.

Well, guys, I prefer to be positive on the issue. Re Chizzang's very thoughtful post (reppies to you, BTW - none for you, Z, you're Rush parroting...again), the terms "anti-business" and "anti-capitalist" are, you have to admit, "hot" terms, in that, by there absolutist phrasology, simply meant to inflame. Know what I mean?

I doubt very seriously that a majority of these people, despite the GW nail-spitting from Brother native and Brother T and Brother Z and some of their no-mind henchmen here, are truly anti-capitalist and anti-business. Rather, what they're looking for, and what we are all looking for, is more responsibility. That's all. Yes, industry has, by and large, worked rather diligently to clean up its act, but that's only been a First World, industrialized, civilized nations phenomenon. What we often ignore when we spout off about Big Brother regulation and taxation, etc., is that terrible environmental degradation is going on virtually (and in some places, completely) unchecked. We need a world view in this; we can't be insular and paranoid.

Classic Rhetoric:
1) Lives are being turned upside down (not one example to support such claims)

T-man's assertion:
2) Climate Change ideology is destroying every industrialized nation on earth... (Not one example where this is actually happening or true)

It's not going to work here on this forum chicken little...
Go yell that in the streets of middle America - it has a higher take up rate

We have a winner, folks!

:D
YOU may prefer to be "positive' on the issue, but those in decision-making positions certainly haven't chosen that route.
