The loser between Canada and Russia will not medal. :o It should be a great game tonight with a lot of drama. Both contries consider themselves to be the worlds best hockey power, the idea that at least one wil not medal is amazing.
I gotta admit I'm pulling for Russia. It's tough to beat the same team twice. I want Canada gone.
I agree, although I think there is a good chance that the winner of this game will lose to Sweden. It's also not a lock that the US beats either Switzerland (Hiller in goal gives them a chance) or Finland. The tourney is wide open at this point.

You learn something new every day. I never knew that a player has to leave the ice immediately if they lose a helmet in olympic hockey. A Swiss defender just lost his helmet deep in their own zone and had to skate off, essentially giving the US a 10 second power play. :o

Wow, this game is furious so far. Both goalies look strong.

Largely Canadian crowd cheers the first US penalty. They're living vicariously through the Swiss team. At least it's red and white.

NBC should be ashamed of this nonsense. The western two time zones have truly been screwed the past week and a half.

I found a good stream of it online, but they can still go suck a dick for not showing it live here. :ohno:

Gosh, Hiller is on his game. The US is completely controlling play, outshooting the Swiss 18-4, but it's scoreless at the first intermission.

Looks like we got a low scoring game underway, end of first, zip/zip

Team USA doing all the shooting though.

The Swiss are going all Jersey Devils on the USA. Icing it every chance they get to try to slow it down.

First goal is going to be big in this one.

Swiss on the power play...
