I didn't know that. He sounds like a pretty confused person in that case.
Fargo, you seem pretty vehemently against the health care legislation. Did you not expect this when you voted for Obama? Why did you vote for him?

I did not vote for Obama, not sure where Az got that. I did vote for Earl Pomeroy, the Rep from ND, who voted for this. Not happy about that, he never campaigned for health care.

Back to the actual title of the thread...
While I am embarrassed by the bloated entitlement wealth redistribution vehicle that the federal government has become, I am even more saddened and embarrassed by the electorate that allowed all this to happen. A friend of mine sent this along a couple of weeks ago and it is particularly appropriate the day after this debacle:
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president. "- Author Unknown

I guess your friend has already forgotten what eight years of abject failure and miserable incompetence can do to a country. It will take years to recover from the pitiful mismanagement of Bush's Decade of Decay and Decline.
