speaking of the manchester derby - interesting find by the guardian - when ManUre is trailing they average almost DOUBLE the stoppage time of games where they are leading...

Doesn't surprise me...I've watched alot of soccer and seen alot of matches with more legit injury stoppages/foul calls/penalty calls, but NONE I have ever seen have ever gone as far as the 96th minute....TwinTownBisonFan wrote:speaking of the manchester derby - interesting find by the guardian - when ManUre is trailing they average almost DOUBLE the stoppage time of games where they are leading...

Michael Owen scored the winning goal five-and-a-half minutes into injury-time, with the referee initially having indicated four more minutes would be played..WTF?

Re: 09-10 EPL Thread
If you watched the EPL review show on FSC they explained it.
The time they show is the minimum amount allowed;
City scored at 89:58, after the four minutes where shown. Bellamy celebrated his goal for :55 (94:55).
A substitute was brought on it ook :30 (95:25).
Owen scored (95:20)
It is legit that United get more time, I can buy that. This match however, was called correctly.

Newcastle champions!!!

Newcastle bounced back from their midweek defeat at Blackpool with a comfortable 3-1 success over Plymouth at St James' Park. This offically gives them the Coca Cola League Championship crown.

Re: 09-10 EPL Thread
If Leicester City can win the playoff they will have moved from League One to Premier League in two years.

In theory, but something tells me Chelski aren't going to slip up at home against Wigan.appmaj wrote:All down to the last match day...

CONGRATS TO NOTTS COUNTY FC FOR WINNING LEAGUE 2
and promotion to league 1

Notts County secured the League Two title following a convincing 5-0 win at relegated Darlington. The Magpies took the lead in the 33rd minute when Delroy Facey found Johnnie Jackson 12 yards out and his tame shot somehow went in under Darlington goalkeeper Nick Liversedge.
